Chapter 169 Was It A Live Person?
Your Foodie tried to collect the honeycomb, but it failed due to the Overburdened package. Da Vinci consoled the disheartened Foodie, reassuring him that Ming would undoubtedly aid them. Overwhelmed with longing, Foodie yearns to return to your embrace at once.
Da Vinci halted Foodie as a diligent frog that only once their backpack brimmed with spoils could they return to their master. Frustrated, Foodie collided with a sapling, dislodging several fruits. Da Vinci Compliment\'s Foodie was more clever.
"Overburdened?" Ming mused, perched in the tree, plucking fruit and stowing it away. He pondered that Da Vinci\'s carrying capacity had reached two hundred pounds, yet still could not collect the beehive, how immense and abundant in honey it must be. Ming plans to see it later.
Da Vinci bumped Foodie, conveying that their pack needed to be filled and the few fruits needed to be increased. A fighting spirit ignited within Foodie, who fiercely collided with the sapling, causing several fruits to tumble down. This ruckus stirred the bees within and around the hive, who turned their gazes upon Foodie in unison.
Da Vinci watched Foodie and thought, "Poor child, you must run swiftly now."
Da Vinci saw the bees pursuing Foodie across the hills and valleys while he gathered the fallen fruits and trailed behind, bouncing gleefully.
"…"
Ming descended from the tree, observing the direction of the frog\'s expedition. He purchased an "Antidote Ointment for Insect Stings" from the apocalyptic store, and a thousand gold coins vanished.
Upon arriving at the creek\'s edge, Ming discovered that the once-murky waters had regained their crystalline clarity.
The exhilarated Foodie sprinted to the riverbank and plunged headfirst into the transparent shallows, peeking above the water to taunt the swarm of bees as if to say, "Dare to enter the water?"
Da Vinci stood ashore, observing the bees attempting to pierce the water\'s surface with their stingers. The submerged Foodie extended their tongues to gracefully catch a shrimp and swallow it whole, gazing upwards at the bees.
Unfazed, Foodie swallowed another shrimp, wondering how long the bees would persist, confident in its ability to outlast them. However, the shrimps hidden within the crevices of the underwater stones felt their lives might no longer be.
"…" Ming rushed to the bank, witnessing an extraordinary sight: many thumb-sized bees washing their behinds in the water.
With their "Hawk Eye," Ming scanned:
"Three-star Industrious Giant Bees"
"Exclusive Skills: Gather Nectar, Produce Honey, Sting Humans"
"…"
Upon reading the word "sting," Ming silently retreated into the forest. Seeing the frog frolicking joyously with the bees, he decided not to disturb the scene and continued picking fruits.
Da Vinci lounged by another small pool, peacefully observing the bees at play. Twenty minutes later, the bees departed. Da Vinci noticed a toad, covered in pustule, crawling ashore to bask on a sun-warmed pebble.
Da Vinci hopped over and inquired, "Toad brother, have you seen my little brother, foodie?"
The toad turned its head, croaking, "I am Foodie… it hurts so much…."
Ten minutes later, the frogs\' journey concluded, and the backpack\'s contents were automatically transferred to the warehouse.
Ming didn\'t immediately inspect their spoils, instead placing Foodie on his lap and applying ointment to its body. Fortunately, his frogs were thick skin and had a high pain tolerance, though they were prone to reckless behavior.
Ming glanced up at the sun, realizing it was already noon. Casually tossing the two aside, they built a fire beside the creek to grill fish.
During this process, Ming checked the warehouse, noting that the frogs had gathered twelve fruits, a treasure chest, and a zombie today. Most of the fruits were wild pears.
Inspecting the treasure chest:
"Epic Treasure Chest requires an Epic Treasure Map to unlock."
"…"
Ming, beaming with joy, retrieved twenty fish from the warehouse and placed them over the fire to roast. He then produced several plump white worms, offering them to Da Vinci as a well-deserved reward.
The frogs exchanged glances, unanimously agreeing that you must be pretty satisfied with your new girlfriend so generous with their extra meal.
Seeing you laugh so heartily, Da Vinci, too, felt elated and confident in his judgment. It playfully nudged Foodie in celebration, who yelped as Foodie\'s swollen welts were struck, passing out from the pain.
Unperturbed, Da Vinci hopped to inform Foodie that the fish were ready. Foodie, still belly-up, cracked open an eye, calling Da Vinci a liar, for it hadn\'t yet detected the aroma of cumin.
"Add cumin!" Ming sprinkled cumin powder onto the grilled fish, and Foodie eagerly approached, its large eyes fixed on Ming.
Da Vinci used its tongue to snatch up one of the plump white worms and swallowed it whole.
As Ming enjoyed their grilled fish, they checked the new zombie:
"Martin Alice"
"Level 29 Cleric"
"Physique: 31"
"Strength: 31"
"Agility: 31"
"Spirit: 60"
"Talent 1: Holy Light"
"Talent 2: Oracle"
"Skill1: Invisible"
"Skill2: Invisible"
"Weakness: Due to the unique effect of her Holy Light talent shielding her, Hawk-Eye cannot view her skills. However, judging from her current basic attributes, you can easily conquer her on the strength aspect… hehe~."
Could there be people whose skills Hawk-Eye couldn\'t see?
Nevertheless, considering her attributes, the first three were all 31, possibly related to her wearing only two pieces of cloth. After all, her base attributes would be a lot higher with proper equipment.
"Alice?"
Ming repeated the name, recalling that among the equipment frogs had found earlier, Alice was the owner of the gloves.
"Wait, is she a person?" Ming hesitated, rechecking the zombie\'s attributes. There was no indication of whether she was an ordinary zombie or a lord, only a job title that seemed unique to humans.
"..."
He looked again, and indeed, she was a person...
Ming glanced at the two frogs feasting merrily, thinking to himself they had actually brought back a living person.
What should he do now?
Deep in thought, he looked at the countless fruits scattered across the hills. Had the heavens granted him a helping hand?
If so, not using her would be a disservice to this divine gift. But could she speak English? Would they be able to communicate effectively?
He had to come up with a plan.
[Your Da Vinci, now full, feels like it has boundless energy and decides to save the shrimp trapped in the crevices of the rocks... It nudges Foodie to join in...]
[ Foodie shakes its head; there\'s still fish left to eat... Da Vinci glares. Can\'t you see that this picturesque place is perfect for romance between men and women...]
[ Foodie looks at you, understanding... Your frogs jump into the pool, heading off to rescue the shrimp...]
"Rescue the shrimp? You\'re just going to eat them, aren\'t you..."
Ming suddenly has an idea. He stands up, walks to the small pond where frogs found the clothes earlier, takes the clothes they had collected from the warehouse, folds them neatly, and puts them back in their original place. Taking a deep breath, he throws Alice into the pond from the warehouse.
Moments later, Alice is awakened by the sweet and refreshing stream water. She opens her eyes to see a charming smile and hears the man say, "You fainted just now, and I saved you. Can you understand me?"
