Chapter 336: I’m Sorry, Ianon
Chapter 336: I’m Sorry, Ianon
\'What is he up to this time?\' The Conspiracy Slayer System frowned in response, hesitating on whether or not to follow him.
When a System returns to the System World was when it was the most vulnerable. After all, it had to extract itself from the Host\'s body, a time-consuming process. This was the best time to be killed or injured by its foes.
\'But this guy…why do I feel like I would die if I fail to help him?\' It was worried, because even though Compass Carburettor\'s appearance remained the same, it felt that it wasn\'t able to get a read on him now.
He had strangely turned…dangerous, like a bomb that could explode any moment.
This was the thought that flashed in its mind.
\'Wait, if he wishes to kill me, this is a good chance, since Ianon is alone now. So, is his goal only to use me as a mode of transport and escape from this world?\' It thought, recalling how much trouble Compass Carburettor had been enduring to kill the Systems one after another, \'Is his mind already on the verge of collapse? Maybe it was too much for someone that\'s not a True System Slayer to handle.\'
After remaining silent for a couple of seconds, the Conspiracy Slayer System condensed a portal, causing time in the world to stop for three seconds, shocking Ianon who hadn\'t ever thought something of such a scale was possible.
"Thank you." Compass Carburettor extended his hand, condensing Anthozoa before shooting a bullet into the portal, watching his figure vanish before arriving under a tree.
He hurriedly gazed within the Dimensional Space, noticing that Grisha and Gana were still there, puking at present as their bodies seemed to have taken a toll from the transport. All his five mutated beasts were still there, slightly exhausted but they were fine. As for the orbs, they had vanished.
"W-What\'s happening?" A flustered Ianon appeared a few metres before him, unable to move as his body trembled. He gazed at the figure of Compass Carburettor, shouting, "Compass, what the heck is happening?"
"I\'m sorry," Compass Carburettor sighed, facing the other side.
Even though they had a bumpy introduction, the two had helped each other either directly or indirectly. So, it could be said that even though they weren\'t friends, they were comrades.
And now, when he was reeling from shock, Ianon had hoped for him to help him. But in response, all Compass Carburettor did was give him the cold shoulder.
"Ha…haha…hahaha, so, that thing about you being a mountain deity…was it just a bold-faced lie?" Tears streamed out of his eyes as Ianon laughed helplessly, noticing that he wasn\'t able to move his body, feeling a searing pain as something seemed to be exiting his body from the back, "I wanted to believe…"
"Believe that there existed at least one entity that wasn\'t immersed in conspiracy, someone true to the beliefs they advocated, whether it be a saint or a devil." He gazed at Compass Carburettor as his face trembled, his lips pursed, taking in the other party\'s appearance, "Ever since you hid yourself behind that dark curtain and went around saving people, I thought you truly were a deity born from the wishes of the unfortunate."
"I\'m not a deity." Compass Carburettor slumped on the ground, "And never will I be one. I\'m…"
"Just a charlatan with some powers."
"So, Compass, what do you want to do now?" A sabre condensed behind Ianon, the forming body of the Conspiracy Slayer System whose voice was flat, containing a lot of bass with mild rustiness, "It seems you don\'t plan on conspiring against me."
"I want you to help me with a short trip, that\'s all." Compass Carburettor said, "And I\'ll pay you 400,000 Mental Energy in total."
He slowly extended his hand, using the Trait of Permanence as he condensed a palm-sized jet-black sphere using 200,000 Mental Energy, giving it to the Conspiracy Slayer System, "This is the advance."
"Oh, that\'s a wonderful trick you have there. To think you can solidify Mental Energy like this." The Conspiracy Slayer System said in surprise as most of its body had exited Ianon by now.
"That\'s it?" Ianon was able to move his head now, gazing at the Conspiracy Slayer System as he said, "What was even the point?"
"Even if I were to tell you, Ianon, you won\'t remember." The Conspiracy Slayer System\'s voice turned gentle, "This isn\'t the first time we\'re doing this, and this won\'t be the last either. You\'ll revive eventually and not remember anything we\'ve shared."
"…Keuk…" Ianon gritted his teeth, clenching the mud as he slowly began to get up. But, the moment he got up, the Conspiracy Slayer System managed to fully exit his body.
A chained sword that was tied up to a pillar, one that constantly struggled to break free. That was the Conspiracy Slayer System.
It condensed a mouth at the bottom of the pillar as its chains wrapped around Ianon, dragging him into the mouth. His mouth was bound first, preventing him from speaking as only his indignant grunts resounded.
Slowly, the Conspiracy Slayer System consumed him, trembling once as its powers seemed to have returned and grown, "Amazing, it seems making him investigate the secrets of Systems caused him to develop more than ten years\' worth from the previous loops. I have to thank you for that, Compass Carburettor."
"D-17,653…" Compass Carburettor spoke slowly, "That\'s the world I want you to condense a portal towards."
"What about the Coincidental Luck System? There should have been a deal between the two of you, right? Are you running away?" The Conspiracy Slayer System spoke, gazing at him in curiosity.
"Escaping from Coincidental Luck…do you think it\'s possible?" Compass Carburettor smiled wryly, "I\'ve already completed my end of the deal."
"There\'s only one enemy there that can kill him now. And, she\'s a necessity for his growth. I\'m only to intervene when he\'s on the verge of death." He spoke, "So, until then, I\'ll be completing my work."
"Fine, the world you seek is D-17,653, called Earth, right?" The Conspiracy Slayer System had already obtained the means to open a portal to Earth from the Astral Network, condensing a portal that highlighted a random male.
"Stencil Carburettor, my daughter. Can you focus the portal on her?" He asked next.
"Give me a moment." The Conspiracy Slayer System seemed interested, scouring through Earth as a tide of Mental Energy surged through its body, allowing it to process through the related data as it soon located Stencil, displaying her point of view through the portal, showing the scene of a vacant pair of eyes staring at a reflective surface, strapped to a berth, "Oh, she\'s the host to a monetary-based System?"
"Yes," Compass Carburettor stared at the scene as his pupils slowly expanded before he uttered coldly, "Find someone within a ten-kilometre vicinity to become your Host."
