Chapter 618 Everything’s in the Palm of My Hands

"Who are you?" Suddenly, the figure of Slayer that was walking away from Tehela\'s line of sight turned around, staring at Compass Carburettor as suddenly, an ocean of Mental Energy slammed into him, almost throwing him out of Tehela\'s mind.

The Demon was actually Slayer that was disguised to enact a mysterious scheme. At his words, Slayer\'s eyes widened in surprise as he immediately turned into a blob of Mental Energy, intending to escape out of Tehela\'s mind.

  Guoong!

Suddenly, the sounds akin to a vacuum machine whirring into life resounded throughout the mind space of Tehela as Slayer\'s figure stopped moving forward, gradually dragged by the suction force as he struggled to escape.

\'So, Slayer has determined a method to live in the minds of others just like a System.\' Compass Carburettor thought, processing the details that he had observed until now.

The memories Tehela had of Slayer had condensed a figure of him in her mind that lived and influenced her decisions.

This was the same as what the Luck Genre Systems had attempted in the Cultivation World to influence the decisions of their Hosts and control them better.

And now, Slayer was doing the same by planting himself in her memories, using those to affect the rest of her memories, thereby changing her character accordingly.

Shockingly, all the Systems that should have originally been in Tehela\'s mind space were no more, probably captured by Slayer to harness their power.

Unfortunately, this was a mere fragment of Slayer, barely containing power on the level of a Pseudo-Saint. And against Compass Carburettor, that was nothing as his body was soon sucked into the gun and digested.

Compass Carburettor frowned, deep in thought as he went through the information appearing in his mind—that he had devoured from Slayer\'s fragment.

Immediately, his eyes shot up, alarmed, "This guy…!"

  …

"A Ruin of Amagoth has appeared nearby." A Demon shouted in a certain pub, alerting everyone inside.

  "Is that the truth?"

  "A Ruin of Amagoth? Here?"

"Aren\'t there practically no free Goblins in our region?"

"Just head twenty kilometres westward. You\'ll be able to spot a gigantic mausoleum there. Everyone else is already talking about this." The Demon said, clearly unable to control his excitement, "It has already been verified by others."

"Is this the truth?" A Demon frowned, getting up as he decided to see for himself, "I\'ll confirm it with my own eyes."

He then snapped his finger, exiting the pub as the flapping sounds of a large bird resounded in the ears of everyone before strong winds were produced.

  Kieeee!

It was a bird-type Magic Beast, spanning a height of three metres when it stood on its two legs, its wings retracted.

The Demon climbed onto its back as the bird took off to the skies, flying in the direction of the mausoleum. Or rather, the bird first scaled up into the air, reaching a height of five hundred metres from the ground level, using the altitude to see afar.

The bird-type Magic Beast boasted stellar eyesight, already able to spot the mausoleum in the informed location as immediately after, the Demon alighted to the ground, entering the pub to give his confirmation, "There really is a Ruin of Amagoth there."

  "That means…"

The Demons stared at each other, expressing clear excitement as the same thought echoed in the minds of everyone.

"The Shaman King must have been born."

Immediately, greed flashed onto the faces of everyone as they poured out of the pub, beginning preparations to raid the Ruin of Amagoth immediately in hopes to find the Shaman King first.

As for the reason they wished to find the Shaman King first?

The answer lay in their professions. The Demon Race wielded the power of four professions, inferior in number only to humans that wielded five.

Their main profession consisted of Tamer and Elementalist while their sub-profession consisted of Principal Arbiter and Conjurer.

Among them, Tamers were able to tame not just Magic Beasts, but also the sentient races. So, they typically employed weak races such as Goblins as slaves after taming them.

And depending on their status, the strength of their slaves varied. Pseudo-Saints among the Tamers wielding significant influence even dared to obtain Titan slaves.

And among the slaves they could obtain, the Shaman King was most sought after. After all, Shaman Kings rarely appeared throughout history and only lived for a century each time.

This meant that they were the pinnacle in terms of rarity. This was not to mention their terrifying strength that was able to go against a Saint even while being a mere Pseudo-Saint.

Moreover, even if the Shaman King were to die after a century, their totems wouldn\'t lose power once they reach the Realm of a Saint.

This meant that if used well, the value of the Shaman King would allow the Demons to enjoy almost infinite wealth.

After all, when the power of the totems joined hands with the powers of a Principal Arbiter and a Conjurer, they were able to create dangerous objects and entities with a plethora of abilities. And if they make a few Ruin of Amagoth and trap powerful entities within, they could run it as a dungeon and make money through it.

So, news regarding the Ruin of Amagoth spread around as countless Tamers rushed towards the place first. Even if they failed to find any clues regarding the Shaman King, just the Magic Beasts produced by the ruins would be useful.

After all, they were created based on the entity sealed inside. So, these Magic Beasts would be a new race.

Of course, as everyone was rushing towards the Ruin of Amagoth, Slayer, the Demon that had informed them in the first place was calmly chilling in the pub.

Eventually, a month passed before he left the pub and arrived at an empty space, acting surprised to see a certain five-metre-tall Goblin standing there, exuding killing intent. \'Took you a long enough time to come here, huh?\'

"It was you that infiltrated my Ruin of Amagoth, right?" The Shaman King, Gobugobumon glared at the other party, asking while controlling his anger, "Speak!"

"What have you done to it?"
