Chapter 319 - Least Freedom (1)

Chapter 319: Least Freedom (1)

At Kotum Castle’s Central Square.

“Search Fly.”

[Level 6 Fly. (Active, required skill points 2, required golden rings 5,500,000.)

: You can float your body in the air by consuming mana continuously.

: You have some flying ability, but its effect is small.

: There is only level 6 Fly.]

Level 6 Fly was a flying skill, but, considering the effects of the skill, it was more appropriate to say it was a floating skill rather than a flying one.

For that reason, it wasn’t a very popular skill in ‘Revival Legend’.

Skill points are always wanted because they were needed to obtain new skills and upgrade important skills, so using two skill points for simply floating in the air was not very efficient. However, I already acquired more than 10 additional skill points by winning various events and quests, starting with the 3rd Closed Beta where I was the only max level achiever. As a result, I could possess many skills that other people could not even dream of, including the limited skill Savant.

Moreover, I earned two more skill points by winning first place in the event that selected the strongest player in Region 11. In other words, I could afford to pay attention to certain skills unlike others.

And there was a reason why I really liked this particular skill.

‘I can make up for the lack of mobility in the air with Blink with zero cooldown anyway.’

In fact, I didn’t need the ability to fly because I had Blink with zero cooldown.

Why? It’s because no matter how fast I was using that skill, I would be much slower compared to teleporting using Blink with zero cooldown.

Anyway, I was thinking about getting this skill for a long time, but I put it off because I had other skills which I had to learn. Now that I could afford to turn to other skills since I had finally acquired Ice Punishment, I chose to acquire it without any hesitation this time.

[You have obtained level 6 Fly.]

After acquiring Fly, I immediately moved to the level 1500 hunting ground Land of Titan.

President Xi made my future more unpredictable, but I thought it would not matter what the future held for me if I became stronger.

In front of the main base of Myongjin Shelter the next day.

Last time, I declared in person that I would periodically patrol the vicinity of the Myongjin Shelter and clean up the monsters there.

So, 700 guards and 200 special force personnel that had increased their reality actualization rate were standing with me right now. Of course, it didn’t mean that a new herd of monsters had already settled in the area surrounding the Myongjin Shelter like the ogres I had already cleaned up before.

So, I didn’t need such a large number of troops for me in the first place.

However, I needed to put on a big show about this new assignment, so I made up the recon team with the same number of people as before.

Moreover, this time I had one more special reason to do so.

In other words, the dinner meeting was coming up in three days.

In the past, the families of big business groups often gathered together for a conference supposedly discussing future growth. Sometimes such a meeting happened as often as two or three times a week while they were trying to check out each other’s intentions.

However, after the Daeyu Group, the lowest ranked among Korea’s top five conglomerates, joined hands with China, and the Daesung and Kusan Groups formed their own alliance, the conferences no longer happened. The Myongjin Group joined hands with the Mirae Group, so Myongjin only communicated with them now.

Sometime ago, the Daesung & Kusan Alliance contacted us, with a request to reopen communication instead of forming an alliance immediately. They suggested that people from the same country could no longer fight amongst each other now that the walls had collapsed, because not only Japan and Mongolia but also China, which they needed to watch out the most, the giant force India, and Vietnam were now merged together.

Of course, I knew that’s not what they wanted. It was obvious that they were pretty impatient because they realized their hopes for taking the lead in Korea with their alliance were dashed completely.

In the level 1200 regular quest that the whole world participated in, we won first place under the name of Myongjin, and I, affiliated with the Myongjin Guild, finished first in the event to select the strongest person in Region 11 not long ago. Maybe that’s why the Myongjin Guild emerged as one of the most powerful guilds in the world.

Of course, the Mirae Guild clearly benefited from its alliance with us.

While they were fighting against Japan’s Mitsuya Guild with us, they succeeded in securing a level 1400 hunting ground in Mongolia, thereby securing a solid foothold for growth.

Even now, they were hunting hard with us, preparing to move their main players to the level 1500 hunting ground Land of Titan.

However, the Daesung & Kusan Alliance didn’t show any impressive performance, not to mention any achievement.

What’s more, they even decided to work with the government led by President Kim Kijung, but these days they have been bickering over their agenda and priorities a lot.

The Daesung & Kusan Alliance had chosen Jeju Island as their base, but President Kim strongly urged the Daesung & Kusan Alliance to pull out from Jeju Island, insisting that they should take control of Seoul unconditionally.

In any case the Daesung & Kusan Alliance seemed to have lots of trouble with their growth being blocked, so they reached out to the Myongjin in hope of finding a new breakthrough. My father didn’t refuse their offer to communicate. Probably he felt it burdensome to completely stop talking to them, given that the Myongjin Group had almost 20-30 years of business relations with them.

So, three days later, all the business groups, with the exception of Daeyu which had joined hands with China, agreed to meet at the Myongjin Shelter.

And my recon operation to clean up the monsters around the Myongjin Shelter this time was made on the backdrop of this situation.

Anyway, looking at the 700 guards and 200 special forces standing in an orderly manner, I shouted, “Today, I will expand the scope of reconnaissance further than before! So, make sure you are thoroughly prepared for any dangers!”

“Understood!”

“Got it!”

As soon as they replied with roaring voices, we moved out of the Myongjin Shelter in military trucks and modified vehicles as before. While we were moving, I encountered the refugees living on the outskirts of the Myongjin shelter. But I didn’t cast a glance at them like I had done before, for if I looked at them, I might give them the vain hope that they would be accepted into the shelter. Since I could no accept them, at least for now, I didn’t want to give them such hope.

A little later my recon team reported back.

“Nothing unusual in Area C-7!”

“Nothing unusual in Area C-8!”

After I made the decision to clean up the monsters around the Myongjin Shelter periodically, I divided the recon area into specific sectors, and then assigned a specific name to each designated area.

It’s already been three hours since we moved out of the shelter, but nothing unusual really happened. We only found a few wandering monsters.

“Good. Then let’s move to the final D area.”

“Alright!”

So we turned to that area, and found a group of people while scouring the area in the north of the shelter. Judging from the direction they were moving, their destination seemed to be the Myongjin Sheler. And they seemed to be refugees, given their looks.
