Chapter 15
Jing Yao had just heard that they were going to eat hotpot and was craving for it. However, she lost her appetite when she saw the plain porridge that had no color.
Seeing her like this, Liang Xun thought that she was still feeling uncomfortable in her stomach and advised, “Just force yourself to eat a little. You can’t be hungry now.”
Jing Yao nodded and took the bowl, but she didn’t touch it for a long time.
When Liang Xun saw this, he pondered for a moment and said, “How about this? I’ll give you 100 for each bite?”
Jing Yao looked at him as if she was looking at a monster, not understanding what he was doing.
Liang Xun, on the other hand, had a calm expression. “It was me who wanted to keep the child that caused you to lose your appetite. I have the responsibility to let you eat well, right?”
Jing Yao said, “Liang Xun, since I’ve promised to keep the child, no matter what, as the child’s mother, it’s understandable for me to bear all this.”
Liang Xun nodded. “Yes, 100 for each bite. Do you agree?”
“…” Jing Yao.
There was no need for that.
Liang Xun spoke again, “There’s no need to feel burdened. You know that I have money.”
Jing Yao took a deep breath and somehow felt that Liang Xun’s tone was very annoying.
She nodded. “Sure.”
Jing Yao scooped up a spoonful of porridge and opened her mouth. The porridge was soft and mushy. She didn’t know how Liang Xun made it, but the plain porridge was actually quite fragrant.
After taking a bite, Jing Yao saw that Liang Xun kept looking at her. She thought for a moment and said to Liang Xun, “Mr. Liang, since you have nothing to do, why don’t you help me count how many bites I’ve eaten?”
Liang Xun nodded quickly. He couldn’t ask for more. Usually, if he wanted to look at her, he had to be careful. He didn’t dare to keep staring, afraid that his gaze would be too intense and scare Jing Yao. Now, he could stare openly.
Jing Yao successfully drank a bowl of porridge. She touched her stomach and felt that she could have another bowl.
“One more bowl.”
Liang Xun took the bowl and rejected it without hesitation. “It’s enough. You can’t eat anymore. You’ll vomit if you eat too much.”
Jing Yao was full, energetic, and in a good mood. Seeing Liang Xun like this, she smiled and made a joke.
“Liang Xun, are you afraid that I’ll eat you until you’re poor?”
Liang Xun raised his eyebrows. “That’s absolutely impossible. If not for your special situation, it doesn’t matter how much you eat. How about this? 200 per bite. That’s equivalent to eating two bowls.”
Can I do that?
Jing Yao was speechless.
Liang Xun really did what he said. He took out his phone and added Jing Yao’s WeChat account on the spot, transferring the money she earned from eating porridge.
Jing Yao looked at the money transfer and fell into deep thought. How many mouthfuls had she taken?
Before going to bed, Liang Xun knew that Jing Yao would feel uncomfortable if he was there. Sleep was very important to pregnant women, so he went to the study with the excuse that he still had work to do.
After he left, Jing Yao was indeed relieved. She planned her schedule for tomorrow, then washed up and went to bed.
Liang Xun stayed in the study for an hour. When he returned to the bedroom, Jing Yao was already asleep.
Liang Xun took a quick shower, then went to another room to dry his hair. Only then did he come back. He gently lifted the blanket and lay beside Jing Yao.
Jing Yao was sleeping soundly and was not disturbed at all.
Liang Xun turned his head to look at her. From this angle, he could only see the girl’s beautiful and quiet side profile. Jing Yao, who was breathing lightly, was so cute that Liang Xun’s heart trembled.
Unable to resist, he leaned over and kissed the girl’s cheek.
“Sweet dreams, Jing Yao!”

Wen Chen had been in a bad mood today. When he got home from work, he hesitated for a long time and couldn’t help but call Jing Yao again.
The robotic female voice indicated that the number he had dialed could not be reached for the time being. He understood what was going on almost immediately.
The last time he called, no one picked up. He didn’t expect that Jing Yao would blacklist him this time.
Furious, Wen Chen kicked the coffee table.
The sound was so loud that Ji Wei, who had just returned home, almost jumped up in fright.
Seeing that it was Wen Chen who caused the commotion, he rolled his eyes. “What are you doing? Why did you suddenly go crazy? Auntie is already asleep at this hour.”
Wen Chen took a few deep breaths to calm himself down before asking Ji Wei, “You have looked for Jing Yao, right?”
Ji Wei nodded with a smug expression. “I did. We even agreed to have a hotpot together tomorrow.”
Wen Chen paused and asked, “She’s… forget it.”
He didn’t say anything else and went straight upstairs.
Ji Wei rolled his eyes. “You’ve been like this since you were young. You’re so awkward. You’ll regret it in the future.”
