Chapter 119 - Fu Hua Escorts Jia Li To Pay Respect To Her Parents
Two hours later, Fu Hua and Jia Li arrived at the hotel they booked. Since no one has been staying in Jia Li\'s house, the place would have been too dusty, so they had to book a hotel.
"What do you want to eat, I will order it for you." Fu Hua asked after they settled in their hotel room.
"I\'m not really hungry, but you can order anything for me." Jia Li replied.
She was feeling nostalgic after returning to her hometown after a year, so she didn\'t have much appetite.
But since it had already turned dark outside, she knew she would be hungry later at night, so she had to order something.
At her reply, Fu Hua picked up the telephone and placed their food order before going into the bathroom.
Jia Li was not in a good mood, so she didn\'t have time to worry about some things.
When their food was served, Jia Li ate a little before going to the bathroom to change her clothes, and after which she went to the bed to lie down and sleep.
Fu Hua was sitting and watched her every movement, knew she wasn\'t in a good mood, and he guessed the reason for it.
After eating Fu Hua called the hotel staff to come and take the plates away before going to take a shower and change his clothes.
The hotel Fu Hua booked was a room that has one bed, and a couch in one corner, then a wardrobe and a bathroom, so changing clothes could only be in the bathroom.
It was too late to drive down to the Fu Villa, as it was still a bit far, so they had to stay in the hotel for tonight.
Fu Hua dressed in his night robe and came back to the room. He turned off the lights before going to lie on the other side of the bed.
Jia Li who was lying on the bed with different thoughts in her mind didn\'t know when she fell asleep.
The next morning, Fu Hua and Jia Li packed their things and left the hotel after breakfast with the two soldiers that came with them.
According to their plans, they went straight to visit the site where Jia Li\'s parents were buried.
Fu Hua respected her privacy and walked some distance away from her.
Glancing at the tablets that had her parents\' names on them, Jia Li became teary as she caressed them with her hands after placing a bouquet each on their tomb.
"Mum, dad, it\'s been a year since you left me. I wish you two were still here with me. I miss you two so much. I miss our breakfast and dinner together. I miss you two spoiling me with your love and care. I miss all of our moments together that sometimes I wished you took me with you. When I go back to watch our pictures and videos, I feel a wrenching pain in my heart knowing that those moments can only be a memory. Dad, Mum, I wish I could go back to the moment I was about to leave for the Fu house the first time, I would have begged with grandfather Fu to allow you both to follow me."
As Jia Li reached this point, she was already in tears, and she didn\'t try to wipe them away.
Sniffing, she continued with pouring out her emotions in front of her parents\' grave.
"...Mum, Dad, grandfather Fu took good care of me in the past year, and he enrolled me in one of the best fashion and designing schools in the country. Now, I\'m married to his first grandson, and you two know him. He is Fu Hua. Mum, we talked together about my feelings for Brother Huang, and before you could help me confess my true feelings to him, you and dad left, which made me devasted, and I had to take few steps back."
At this point, a snort was coming out of Jia Li\'s nose, so had to wipe it with the handkerchief she put into the pocket of her thick jacket.
Jia Li wiped her nose before continuing to pour out her emotions. Her nose had already turned red, but that was not her worry.
"Mum, Dad, I don\'t know what my future with Fu Hua will be like, and I don\'t dare to ask for it to be perfect like your relationship, but I only hope he would continue to treat me well, and things will get better between us. Mum, Dad, take care, I will come back next year to visit you again." Jia Li said as she cried painfully.
The death of her parents was still her weakest point. Their death created a huge vacuum in Jia Li\'s heart, that can never be filled.
She has understood what life without one\'s loving and caring parents meant.
No matter how much grandfather Fu cared for and looked after her, she still felt she was missing out on so many things.
She couldn\'t bring herself to forget her parents, and she always felt they were the best and were better at loving and caring for her.
It took twenty more minutes for Jia Li to leave her parents grave.
Even with the pain in her heart, she didn\'t fail to notice how clean the place was. She smiled as she remembered Grandfather Fu.
The man truly cared a lot about her matters.
Fu Hua saw Jia Li walking over with tears in her eyes. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to her.
Jia Li took it from him as she muttered a word of thanks to him.
She wiped her tears and her snort away, before putting the handkerchief away.
Jia Li and Fu Hua got into the car with the soldiers and were now on their way to Jia Li\'s house. Since she wanted to see it after a long time, they had to drop by before going to the Fu Villa.
When their car parked in front of Jia Li\'s house, they all came down from the car.
Jia Li stared at the place she once used to call her home. She felt nostalgic as she became teary again.
"Do you want to go in?" Fu Hua asked as he saw she wasn\'t making any move.
Jia Li came back to her senses and nodded in response before taking out the key from her bag. And before she could take a step forward to unlock the door, Fu Hua took the key from her and unlocked the doors to her house, and they all went in together without knowing someone had been looking at them through the window.
