Chapter 266 Perverted
"Do you plan on telling Yang Heng about the General?" Zhao Moyao asked her.
Zhao Lifei nibbled on her bottom lip. She did not want to. She knew how barbaric Yang Feng would become if he discovered someone was after her and how that someone would go through all sorts of means just to drag her back to his den. She did not want to endanger Yang Feng. If there was truly someone in this world who could rival Yang Feng, it would be the General.
"If you do not tell him, I will."
"No!" Zhao Lifei blurted out, panicking at the idea. "If anyone is going to tell him, it has to be me." It would not look good if he discovered the truth from someone else.
She quietly added, "I’ll tell him eventually, but I need some time to collect my thoughts."
"What are you so worried about?"
"I don’t want to make him worry over me. He already has a company and the triad to run—"
"Why do you place insignificant things before you?" Zhao Moyao tilted his head. "In his life, you should be his only priority. The others are only miscellaneous hobbies."
Zhao Lifei also wondered why she did it. In the past, she was ill-tempered, selfish, and self-centered; where everything had to be about her. She forced her way into Zheng Tianyi’s life even though he did not want her. She did not want Yang Feng to leave her if she was suddenly demanding his attention.
"You’re legally his wife. You can steal all of his attention and demand his entire world to be about you. I doubt he would protest, especially in this blissful and happy-go-lucky stage of your relationship." Zhao Moyao coyly suggested with a sly smile on his face. She had every good card in her hand, yet refused to utilize it. Such a foolish thing and it went against everything he had taught her.
"I know." Zhao Lifei muttered. "But it’s not going to be fair—"
"He’s not Zheng Tianyi." Zhao Moyao deadpanned, seeing right through her. Even though there were so many things that differentiate that Zheng prick from Yang Heng, he knew she was still terrified. It would be hard to brush off the wounds from the past, especially when they ran deeper than it should have.
"Unlike the bastard who could not differentiate coal from gold, Yang Feng will not push you away. From my viewpoint, he would do the exact opposite. The less you give him to work with, the more he’ll pry." Zhao Moyao sighed inside of his head. Young love. What a nice thing to have.
Zhao Moyao checked the time. "Talk it out with him, Xiao Fei. He will, without a doubt, understand your problems if you tell him personally."
Zhao Lifei slowly nodded her head. "Alright."
Zhao Moyao’s grumpy face morphed into a smile. He got up and gave her cheek a pat. "Do not worry about insignificant things." He reminded her and walked out of the house, closing the door behind him.

Yang Ruqin heard the sound of the door closing and hopped her way downstairs. "Where were you yesterday?" She asked, sitting down right beside Zhao Lifei on the couch.
"I went to a business lunch and uh, spent the night elsewhere."
Yang Ruqin let out a burst of teasing laughter, "Well? Am I going to get an adorable niece or nephew anytime soon? Say, nine months from now?" She nudged Feifei, watching as a bright red blush traveled from her cheek to her ears.
Yang Ruqin gasped, "No way! Really?!"
Zhao Lifei shook her head, "No, you’re not going to get one anytime soon."
Yang Ruqin pouted, "Why not?"
"Because you can’t take care of one." Zhao Lifei teased, pinching Yang Ruqin’s nose before she went down the hallway and towards the kitchen. She was hungry after not eating much the entire day.
"Wait, so if I learn how to, you’ll give me a niece?!" Yang Ruqin chased after her best friend, grabbing her elbow as the two walked towards the kitchen together.
"Nope." Zhao Lifei tapped Yang Ruqin on the nose just as she began to pull a pan out of a cabinet. But sure enough, the housekeeper came forward.
"What would you like to eat, Madam?"
"Just a light lunch." Zhao Lifei said.
"We’ll have two heavy lunches, thank you!" Yang Ruqin butted in before dragging Zhao Lifei out of the kitchen.
"I still have to eat dinner you know."
"Or my brother." Yang Ruqin muttered under her breath.
"What was that?" Zhao Lifei asked, genuinely not hearing what her perverted friend said.
"Nothing, nothing! Don’t worry about it." Yang Ruqin winked as she dragged Zhao Lifei to the foyer. They were close to making it upstairs when Yang Ruqin’s phone rang and together, they saw the daunting name, "Manager From Hell."
"Ugh!" Yang Ruqin let out a tired groan before declining the call.
"What’s wrong?" Zhao Lifei asked, guiding Yang Ruqin to the couch to have a thorough conversation. They haven’t had one in a long time now.
"Well, you know I started YRQ right?" Yang Ruqin started off. She fiddled with her fingers, anxious at what she was about to say. "I thought it would be better to focus on the brand instead of modeling."
Zhao Lifei put two and two together. "You’re going to stop modeling?"
"Yeah... It’s really tiring and draining." Yang Ruqin had debated whether or not she should hand in her resignation letter for a while now. It was on her desk at all times and because of it, her manager caught sight of it one day.
"Did you make an official statement yet, or... ?"
"I was thinking of handing in my resignation letter before the entire Mu Ting incident... It was also why we fought." She mumbled. "Before my grandfather’s banquet, we had been getting into a lot of arguments...and on the night of it, I broke up with him not knowing he was in my house with a surprise."
Yang Ruqin could still remember flickering the lights on in her house, only to see a group of people in it. Needless to say, one argument after the other, mingled with alcohol, everything went out of hand.
"He only wanted to date someone famous and well... here I am." Yang Ruqin rested her head on Zhao Lifei’s shoulders.
"Modeling was something I enjoyed for a while, but like most of my hobbies, I got bored with it. It put a strain on me mentally and physically." Yang Ruqin never wanted to tell anyone this, but there was a day she collapsed from exhaustion. She made her manager and entire team swear to never tell anyone of the hospitalization, for it was not only exhaustion she was fighting, but it was also a lack of food. It was hard being a model, especially when one was a foodie, but was forced to be mindful of everything she consumed.
"Whatever you do, Qinqin, I will support you every step of the way. Think over your decisions carefully and whatever you choose, make sure you don’t have any regrets, okay?"
"Okay, I will." Yang Ruqin quietly smiled, gradually her eyes fluttering shut as she fell asleep.
Zhao Lifei waited a few minutes before she slowly eased Yang Ruqin’s body onto the couch, went upstairs to grab a blanket and draped it over her sleeping body. She needed all the rest that she could get and Zhao Lifei would not interrupt it.
