Chapter 452: Tonight Might Be The Night I’ll Have Her
You Xi chose a private restaurant for their supper. Although the place seemed ordinary from its architecture, the business actually operated on a membership model. The place was well-known among the rich in Hai City and You Xi lived there. For Yan Qingsi, he spent a good amount of time and effort to make a reservation two weeks in advance.
When they arrived, You Xi opened the car door for Mrs. Yue. “Auntie, careful of your head.”
Mrs. Yue gave him a grateful expression. “You Xi, you are such a good child. Ah, I really like you.”
Yan Qingsi pinched her nose and nodded. She smiled and said, “Yes, you’re right.”
“Auntie, this restaurant has one of the best foods. I already booked a room two weeks back. You can slowly enjoy the meal. The chefs here are world-renowned and their roots trace back to the chefs of the imperial palace.”
Mrs. Yue had a surprised look. “Really? Then I shall savor each bite.”
Her eyes darted up to the lanterns hanging at the entrance. The words written on it made her smile widened.
You Xi continued to boast about the restaurant while Mrs. Yue played the role of an engaged audience.
Once they were seated inside, You Xi told Mrs. Yue and Yan Qingsi to order but Mrs. Yue declined. “We’re not familiar with this place and wouldn’t know what to order. Xiao You, why don’t you order?”
You Xi was more than happy to order for the table.
Half an hour later, the dishes were served and the table was slowly filled. You Xi gestured for Mrs. Yue and Yan Qingsi to start eating.
Mrs. Yue’s head bobbed as she ate. The food lived up to expectations—it was truly delicious. “Xiao You, you’re such a considerate, attentive, well-mannered boy. Whoever marries you will be a lucky girl.”
You Xi was delighted to hear that. He believed that he had captured the heart of Yan Qingsi’s mother. Who knows, tonight might even be the night he gets to sleep with Yan Qingsi.
You Xi wanted to gloat over his victory so he shot a text to Ye Shaoguang.
[You said Yan Qingsi was a difficult one? Let me tell you, I’m having supper with her right now and I might even get to bed her tonight. I’ll send you photos.]
A moment later, Ye Shaoguang replied.
[Really? I think tomorrow the photos I get will be that of your corpse.]
You Xi pouted as his fingers quickly typed out a response.
[Stop it with your hyperbole. I’ll have you know that I’m having supper with Yan Qingsi and her mom now. Her mom likes me a lot. She sounds like she wants me as her son-in-law already. One stone, two birds.]
A moment later, Ye Shaoguang replied him with just one sentence. [Yan Qingsi’s mother has been dead for more than a decade!]
You Xi was confused. Did Ye Shaoguang really have to make up such an elaborate lie?
[How would you know about her mother dying? I think you’re just jealous. Chill, once I have the woman, I’ll share.]
After that, there was no reply. You Xi thought that he hit the nail on the head. He was feeling pretty good about himself as he picked up the chopsticks and continued eating. He even engaged in small talk with Mrs. Yue and Yan Qingsi.
Ten minutes passed and You Xi’s phone vibrated again. It was a text from Ye Shaoguang. He glanced through the message. [Because her stepmother is my cousin!]
Plunk! You Xi’s phone hit the table. He raised his head and looked at the cheerful face of Mrs. Yue. “May I ask, if auntie is...Yan Qingsi’s mother?”
Mrs. Yue’s eyes crinkled as she smiled. “Not yet but I hope Qingsi will be calling me mother in the future.”
You Xi gulped and asked, “Then what’s the relation between the two of you?”
