Chapter 2418 - Huo Siqians Stress (9)
“Sir, shouldn’t we prepare Miss Huo a present?” Huo Siqian’s closest subordinate knew how much he loved Huo Mian.
“It’s Valentine’s Day, and we’re not lovers... why should I get her a present?” Huo Siqian said nonchalantly as he played with two walnuts on his desk.
“You’re right, you guys are family... That’s obviously incomparable to whatever other relationships she has,” his subordinate immediately said.
And clearly, those words were very effective.
Huo Siqian’s face formed a rare smile. “You’re right, we’re family... We’ll be bound forever.”
He had been laying low ever since Xiang Xin, Mr. Xiang, and Mo Xue’er’s deaths since the police were on his case. However, no one found any evidence against him because he had been abiding by the law.
After Mo Xu’er died, he listened to her fans and held a funeral for her. He even gave the Mo Family a great deal of money – those who didn’t know what was going on would think that Huo Siqian was a philanthropist now.
After the romantic date, Huo Mian and Qin Chu arrived home at half-past nine.
The twins weren’t asleep yet; they were in the living room with their grandparents.
Little Bean was very energetic; she had been playing with the hoverboard Qin Chu recently bought her and was really having the time of her life.
Pudding, on the other hand, played with it for a little while and quickly got bored, so she was playing with her phone.
“Pudding, you shouldn’t be on your phone so often, it’s bad for your eyesight... Soon, you’ll have to wear glasses, it’ll be a waste on your looks.” Mrs. Qin tried to scare Pudding.
“Grandma, I’m not playing games though, I’m reading finance articles, it helps me analyze the stock market... Plus, we can get laser eye surgery these days, it’s super safe and efficient... You don’t have to worry about us,” Pudding consoled her grandma with a smile, leaving Mrs. Qin at a loss for words.
“Grandma, don’t try to talk my sister out of anything, she has a lot to say... No one, aside from Mommy and Daddy, can deal with her...” Little Bean said as she glided back and forth on her hoverboard.
“No wonder your other grandma said she can’t keep up with you guys... You little fairies... It looks like we are really getting too old for this! How is this us looking after our granddaughters? It’s almost our granddaughters looking after us,” Mrs. Qin smiled and said.
“Look how smart they are, no one will ever bully them. We don’t have to worry... They’re blessed.” Mr. Qin looked lovingly at his granddaughters.
“Grandpa, I have a serious question to ask you. Do you want a grandson?” Little Bean playfully jumped off her hoverboard and put her arms around her grandpa.
“I can’t answer a question like that!” Mr. Qin knew that this question was no more than a trap.
“It’s okay, Grandpa, just tell us, we won’t get mad... Pudding and I have talked about this before! Plus, we would never tell our parents not to have another child... That would be super immature and selfish.” Little Bean rolled her eyes.
“Little girl, why are you so smart?” Mrs. Qin burst out in laughter.
