Chapter 702 First Target
"I will give you all ten minutes to decide how you want to test my current strength, but please be reminded that everyone here will also be assessed by myself and my people," Dilan said before he turned silent before he added something he had already mentioned.
"My people, including Ariel, will negotiate the contract details if both sides are satisfied with the result of the assessment, but as I said before, we will have Ancient True Gods as our allies. Their value is exceptional so we will prioritize them in the contracts…but I think everyone present knows their value very well…if not it\'s not difficult for me to clearly show you how valuable you guys are…" Dilan explained quite simply while wearing an innocent expression.
However, nobody believed the innocence of the young man, who nearly killed a True God in ten seconds…without actually trying too hard.
Dilan could have killed the True Lizard God way too easily, it was almost scary. No, it was actually scary and the words that escaped Dilan\'s mouth were even scarier because the innocent smile bore a clear threat to everyone.
\'Don\'t think too highly of yourself just because we asked for help. You are just one of many whom we\'ll grant the opportunity to become our allies.\'
That was basically what Dilan\'s words implied and he was not necessarily wrong with that. However, Dilan was misleading the Lesser Gods and True Gods in the huge room at the same time.
It was true that they could ask thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of other races to support them but it was also true that they didn\'t have the time to search for the most suitable candidates for decades.
Right now the database of the Queen\'s Image was the most useful. All Images had collected their data there and it was not too difficult to expand the list of suitable allies for the Mystic Mission.
However, it wouldn\'t be easy to convince everyone to join them. In fact, Dilan was pretty sure that it was quite difficult as long as they didn\'t have an ally from the outside, someone who was popular enough to be known as a lone wolf but also as a powerful entity.
And that was why Dilan appointed the Lightning Titan as his first designated target. It may be a little difficult to fight a member of an Ancient race right of the bat, especially since the information of the Queen\'s Image told him that he should defeat the Lightning Titan with his own technique but that was something he could achieve…somehow…probably.
Thinking about the Lightning God and how he met him in the City of Trials, Dilan began to smile lightly.
He thought about his time in the City of Trials and the following ten minutes passed in the blink of an eye.
Everyone in the hall had come to a conclusion about what they should do.
"As long as you can convince the Titan to become your ally, we will be convinced about your power. Otherwise, we cannot even be sure if anyone who joins your rows will survive the revolution you\'re about to start!" One of the True Gods said and the others nodded their head in agreement.
Dilan was fine with that. He got up from the ground and cleared his throat.
"That\'s fine with me, but you guys will have to face the downside of your decision."
With all eyes on him, Dilan felt a little bit weird. He understood that some were a little confused about what he had just said but Dilan didn\'t think that it was hard to understand.
"Most oppressed races, most stronger than you guys will join me willingly once they find out that I\'m stronger than the Lightning Titan, and that I defeated him with the technique he developed. In fact, the technique I will use is a perfectionated version of his Lightning God\'s Fist.
Either way, once he becomes one of my trusted allies, you guys will have a harder time getting your hands on good rewards during the negotiations with my lovely businessmen and women!"
Dilan made his stance clear and he left the room afterward. He was not yet sure where the Lightning God was located but that could be answered easily by the Queen\'s Image.
He just wanted to leave the meeting in a dramatic manner to make sure that his point came across well. Either, they chose to join him right now when the risk is still higher, or they waited until it was more secure and joined his mission when they could be sure that the risk was much lower. Of course, the reward would be equally low then!
\'Just stay there and watch their reaction. If they want to join, give them a decent contract, but if they don\'t join, add them to the red list.\' Dilan told Rory through telepathy while he went outside to take a look at the metropolis.
The Red list was a list of races who were allowed to join their Mystic Mission but only under certain conditions, meaning low rewards and a knit-tight Soul Contract!
They made several lists already with the golden listen being about the most suitable candidates and races to become their allies.
Dilan knew that they shouldn\'t be picky right now, especially now that more True Gods could enter Milarn, but he really didn\'t like the way most Gods had looked at him today.
He merely showed them a little demonstration by revealing a small portion of his strength. That had already been enough to shock them to the core.
If that was already enough to shock the representatives of those races, he didn\'t really want to know how strong the whole race could be to consider them worthy enough to make a contract.
They had to help the Undying Group fight against members of Ancient and Primordial races, not against other low-ranked races, after all!
\'Well, whatever…the others can bother about that…I take care of the Lightning Titan!\'
