Chapter 613
After all, a stellar battle wasn’t his forte! Thanos was the dominant ruler of the universe. Therefore, space warfare was one of his fortes. If Dio fought Thanos at Space Warfare, there was no way he would be able to win with Dark Battleship alone!
He might be able to win against Thanos if he duked it out one on one as Thanos hasn’t completed his Infinity Gauntlet just yet, but apart from that, Dio wasn’t so sure! Dio knew that he couldn’t just abandon Hamon Planet as he had already invested so much wealth and time to make sure that the planet would be safe for the Dark Elf.
Dio sighed in annoyance as the situation has taken an annoying turn! Galaxy that sensed Dio’s discomfort, immediately approached him while stroking her head to Dio’s shoulder. “Don’t worry. I will keep my cool for now.” Dio smiled at Galaxy as he patted her head back.
Dio immediately realised that he had just the right person to call for this kind of problem, which was Carol Denver and Valkyrie. With Carol’s speed and strength, she should be able to handle anyone on Hamon Planet for a while. After all, what Thanos and his men were after was the Power Gem, not the destruction of the planet itself! Once they knew that the planet was protected, they would leave as it would be nothing but a loss if they stayed there without gaining anything!
Furthermore, Carol might be able to win against Thanos when Thanos didn’t have the full power of the Infinity Gauntlet now! The more Dio thought about it, the less troublesome it got, and so, without any hesitation, Dio called Carol and explained the situation to her. Now, all that he needed to do was to wait for the news from Carol.
“Come on, eat up! If these Hamon Beads didn’t have any effect on you, your master would jump out of Empire State Building!” Dio said to Galaxy as he felt excited for what would happen next. But then again, Galaxy was a proud Pegasus, so she just stared at Dio with annoyance in her eyes.
Dio noticed Galaxy’s glare and patted her head to calm her down while smiling awkwardly.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
In the distant universe, Carol was just about done with her investigation. She finally found someone that had the information she wanted. After getting what she wanted, she returned to the bar and ordered some drinks to relieve her thirst when the friends of the information broker earlier started attacking her after what she had done to the information broker earlier. She was forced to resort to violence, and the bar wasn’t in good condition when she was done dealing with these people.
“Hey, I will pay for all your broken furniture, sum it all to my bill!” Carol said indifferently to the bar owner.
“There is no need to pay, ma’am!” the bar owner said in fear as he held his hands up.
“Stop spouting nonsense! Did you really want to reject my offer when your bar is at this state?” Carol asked annoyedly. “Tell you what, does this amount of money enough to cover all the damage?” Carol said as he dragged a man’s unconscious body over to the bar and gave his money account to the bar owner.
The bar owner grabbed the money account and looked at the nominal with relief in his eyes.
“Hey, are you dumb? I am asking, is that enough?!” Carol said annoyedly.
“This is enough! Thank you very much, ma’am.” The bar owner said thankfully.
“Now, I will leave. Take care of these guys yourself! If they wake up and harass you, just tell them where I am!” Carol said indifferently.
The bar owner nodded and immediately transferred all the money on the pitiful man’s account to his own account greedily. He didn’t leave anything behind as he thought that they wouldn’t need it anymore! He was planning on getting rid of these people, which was why he immediately called all his men to the bar.
“Hey, pick up all these people and send them to the butcher!” The bar owner said with a look of disgust in his eyes.
When the bar owner told them to bring the unconscious people to the butcher, the people inside the bar immediately froze as they knew that no one would be able to survive the butcher. The bar owner smiled in satisfaction as he got a lot of money and got rid of annoying people that has pestered his bar for so long.
What he did might be cruel, but it didn’t matter right now as these people was a thug that repeatedly attacked others too. After all, a person that opened a bar was either a former thug or a man with so much unspent money!
Obviously, this bar owner was the former!
Carol that already left the bar, didn’t know what happened next, but she didn’t really care. She didn’t know that the bar owner was cruel, but it was none of her concern right now. After all, there was something more important that she had to take care of!
