Chapter 661
“No, there is no need for more! I can’t eat another bite.” The woman said as she wiped her mouth with the napkin on the table. Although the woman sounded rude and ungrateful, Vision didn’t seem angry at all.
“You are right! But I have a friend who could cook amazing foods, but unfortunately, he was reluctant to cook for others. I still remember his reason when I asked him why. He said that he would do it only for the money, not for free!” Vision said as he started to reminiscent Dio’s word. “I didn’t know what he needs so much money for, but now I probably a little bit understand his reason as it was his way of living and to survive. That is the reason I learned how to cook myself, thinking that I would someday have the ability to cook like him and would be able to garner everyone’s respect and trust like it was with him!” Vision said with a sad expression.
“I am sorry, I didn’t intend to share such a sad and depressive thought!” Vision said with a smile on his face. He didn’t understand why he would confide about himself to a stranger he had never met before, but he couldn’t help himself as he felt like looking into someone that already knew him for life! Vision shook his head and immediately stopped himself from thinking about that matter.
The woman looked at Vision with a tilted head. “Are you sure such a great person existed? What is his name, and are you friends with him?” The woman asked curiously.
“I am sorry, but his identity is a disclosed information. But he had become a trainer for a while now, and he is actually the one responsible for training us. With that in mind, I don’t know if I could be considered his friend.” Vision said as he felt confused himself. He didn’t know what friends really meant, so he didn’t understand how to treat one as a friend.
“It is said that he once owned a particularly famous restaurant which attracted countless high-end customers who had to book a reservation before coming in. Each of his dishes was sold at a sky-high price, but it didn’t deter those people from coming and eating his food! But something happened, and it caused him to close his restaurant for good.” Vision said as he sorted his mind.
“You all think that he is a good guy?” The woman asked again.
Vision thought about it for a second and shook his head. “I don’t really know!” He said as he didn’t know the true nature of Dio.
“You do not know?” The woman confirmed.
“Yes, I don’t know how to define the word good in a person. But certainly, he did a lot of good things that helped others. But looking at it from another perspective, I think he was just a selfish and indifferent person.” Vision said as he made his evaluation. He knew that Dio wouldn’t show any mercy to strangers and enemies that came blocking his way! He treats his allies properly and never holds back against his enemies. Especially if it comes with his self-interest, he wouldn’t consider the people around him at all!
Vision couldn’t judge whether it was a bad or a good thing to act like this, and therefore he doesn’t have the right to evaluate Dio’s true nature! If someone asked him who was the most dangerous person in the Avengers, surely Vision knew that it was Dio, but he wouldn’t disclose Dio’s information to anyone outside of the Avengers!
The danger Dio possessed did reflect not only in his strength but also in the way he thought! His moral value has always been in between right and wrong! He could become the benevolent superhero that saved the world, the instructor of all Avengers, and a good partner that everyone could trust, but at the same time, he could become the worst villain that ever existed that could destroy the world on a whim.
This was how Vision perceived Dio’s personality!
“A selfish and indifferent person? So he’s kind and caring to certain people while being cold to others?” The woman said to herself as he didn’t really understand Vision’s word.
“Well, I appreciate the time chatting with you, but now that I have finished my lunch, can you tell me who are you and what you want to do here?” Vision asked as he felt enough of talking for the day. He didn’t think that the woman’s objective would be simply having lunch, so he was urged to ask for her reason to come here.
Furthermore, the woman seemed particularly interested in the person that Vision has mentioned earlier.
“I don’t like my name that much, but for the time being, you can call me Duck! My purpose coming here is very simple, but you probably won’t believe me anyway!” The woman said with a smile on her face.
“I could try if you would, but I hope that we could be friends!” Vision said honestly.
“A friend? are you sure you want to be my friend?” the woman who introduced herself as Duck said with surprised demeanour.
“Of course, at least my heart told me so!” Vision said honestly.
The woman didn’t seem to know what to say to Vision’s word as it was beyond her expectation! She truly couldn’t respond to Vision’s word at all!
“You are the first person in my life who’s willing to be my friend, but I am sorry! In order for me to avenge that person, I need your Mind Gem. Can you give it to me?” The woman asked with a sad expression on her face. In the end, she couldn’t give what Vision wanted as she still had her own goals to follow.
Vision closed his eyes as he didn’t expect the woman to be a person he should worry about, a person who thought of him as a mere tool to accomplish their own goal!
