Chapter 504-Shadow
Chapter 504-Shadow
Dave was curious because he found out that Gracik was not lying, and he could see through it with his chaotic eyes.
If Gracik lied even a little, Dave would kill him and extract his memories, which might affect the main body of this demon.
"Do you remember that organization, Ronin?"
Dave asked Ronin, but Ronin shook his head and replied, "I never heard of such an organization in my prime. I only created my own assassin groups who could do some things for me."
Dave nodded and then urged Gracik to continue.
"Lord, you might not know this,"
Gracik began, "after you disappeared for so many years, others said that you were already dead, but your fearsome reputation still remains even now in the Abyss.
Even though you disappeared, many demons still believe that you are alive, and many demons idolize you because you saved us before."
"Just like me, when I was young, I was a slave of a Demon Lord of Sloth and suffered intense torture because I was weak.
Later on, we found out that the demon lord had died by your hands, and we managed to escape from him."
"I hid for many years and slowly accumulated power, learning about some of your deeds in the Abyss. I heard that Demon Lords are fearful every day because of your excellencies, and the demon kings are angry."
"I\'ve never seen you personally, but I have a special trait that no other demons possess. I can easily remember one aura, even just by looking at the objects or the place where one had been before," Gracik explained.
"Since then, I found more demons who admire you, and they managed to create an organization that worships you and tells your legend to other demons."
"I was being hunted by the subordinates of demon lords, but those demons saved me and brought me to their base."
"We operated in the dark, and you might not know it, but when you were assassinating the demon lords, our organization expanded swiftly because they were tired of the ruling of the 7 demon kings.\'\'
\'\'Only you, we found hope because you were the only one who was not afraid of fighting them."
"But after we learned that you left the Abyss and never came back nor were seen again, our organization crumbled because others thought that you were already dead, and some lost hope and betrayed us. \'\'
\'\'One of our members revealed our hideout to the demon king of wrath, and he commanded his army to eradicate us."
"Many of us died, but our core strength managed to escape, and we lived in the dark, continuing to wait for you.\'\'
\'\'After some years, a guy found us, and he was stronger than any demons I had met, and I don\'t know how strong he was.\'\'
\'\'He introduced himself as your disciple, and at first, we didn\'t believe him, but his assassination skills are the best I had seen in my entire life, excluding the Assassin King." n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"He managed to kill some demon lords, and he called himself Shadow. He decided to rebuild our organization, and he also believed that you were not dead, so he is waiting for you.\'\'
\'\'We decided to blend in the territory of the 7 demon kings to find more information about you while waiting for you."
"Our organization remains notorious in the Abyss, and even the demon kings failed to eradicate us, and we created a lot of problems in the Abyss.\'\'
\'\'Lord Shadow\'s goal is to create an environment for demons to live carefree and devoid of fighting and killing.\'\'
\'\'His goal might be funny for others, but for us demons who only want to live peacefully, his desire becomes our desire as well."
Gracik explained that he was infiltrating the base of the 7th demon lord of Pride to look for some information about some cases.
He realized that he felt like a guy with his bloodline was killed, so he became angry and sent his projection and met Dave and Ronin.
His story amazed Dave and Muller, and they looked at Ronin, who seemed to be pondering for a moment until his eyes lit up as if he remembered something.
"Oh, that brat became a powerhouse, huh? I knew he had the potential, but his goals and ambitions in life couldn\'t make him the assassin I desired, so I left him and let him fend for himself,"
Ronin said with a bitter smile as he reminisced about the past.
"Tell me about this Shadow. I\'m a bit interested in such a guy who has some desires,"
Dave said, intrigued by the figure named Shadow. After all, the Abyss was known to be a place of killing and chaos, and even the Demon Kings, whose power was the highest in the Abyss, failed to create peace in their own territory. A demon wanting peace was a rarity.
Ronin nodded and continued to talk.
"That kid is the son of the Demon King of Pride, Lucifer, a prince born to rule the Abyss with his intense potential. Even Lucifer admitted that his potential is above his own with his pride."
"He was set to become a powerhouse in the future and even become a demon who could inherit the throne of Lucifer once he wanted to retire."
"Lucifer had thousands of children, yet none of them received praise from him, but that kid became a child who was loved and nurtured by Lucifer on his own."
"When he was 10 years old, he told his ambition to his father, and his father just laughed at him and didn\'t care about it, thinking that he was just a child."
"But because of this, he realized that no one had supported his desire, so he left and escaped the Demon Castle," Ronin continued.
"As an assassin who had some dealings with Lucifer, I found this scene amusing, as I was in the territory of Lucifer planning to assassinate the kid, who might strengthen Lucifer\'s power. However, the kid was interesting, so I spared him and let him live for some years."
Note from sicko:
Hello everyone,
I apologize for the delay in publishing new chapters recently. Managing my time has been challenging due to my struggles in school. Studying has left me mentally and physically exhausted, with numerous projects and activities to complete. Many nights I\'ve stayed up late just to finish them, resulting in an average of only 3-4 hours of sleep each day.
In whatever free time I manage to find, I dedicate it to sleeping in order to recover from the days when I stayed up late. Despite these challenges, I want to express my gratitude to all of you for continuing to read my novel. I have no intention of dropping it because I genuinely enjoy where the story is headed, and I already have plans for the upcoming chapters.
