Chapter 595: Their Reactions
595 Their Reactions
Two days later,
On the surface, the people from four influences had been standing by from the morning, waiting for the Barrier to open. The same as them, the Rogue Cultivators started gathering around and made a temporary alliance. Unfortunately, their original number had been reduced into half, which meant five hundred people.
As for the original people from five influences, one influence had been massacred for an unknown reason while the other four managed to retain at least eighty percent of their force. In other words, from the original six thousand people remained three thousand and seven hundred.
The number was too low than the previous time this place opened. And the four young leaders gathered one last time because of the matter of importance. The only topic that would be discussed in this meeting was Alex\'s matter.
Chloe stood right in front of the barrier, looking at the other young leaders. She crossed her arms and had a bag under her eye. He had been thinking about Alex this whole time.
The only reason for that was because of how he massacred the Black Devil Sect. Even without any proof, they could know that much. She was afraid that they might be one of Alex\'s targets and would be wiped out after the Black Devil Sect.
It wasn\'t a surprise to have this kind of thought, considering they saw the result of their battle. The flame pillar that shot through the sky, creating a huge crater like none other. It made them doubt if Alex was actually a Martial Emperor, not a Martial Monarch.
She couldn\'t enter the calm state for cultivation, because the thought of Alex kept flashing in her mind. However, the others weren\'t the same. Only another person had the same condition as her. It was the prince from the Likas Kingdom. Like Chloe, he was also the one who overthought the situation because of his job as the prince of Likas Kingdom.
The other two young leaders, Mio and Ganga, didn\'t want to think that much. Ganga aside, who was a muscle brain, Mio had a different thought about this matter. Seeing how the other party dared to challenge Black Devil Sect, she was wondering whether they knew about their relationship with Black Devil Sect.
Even though they had the backing of the main clan from Heavenly Continent, it was hard to call them unless they prepared for something crazy, like Fire God Clan. In the end, she decided to inform her family first on this matter.
Luckily, after waiting for a few days, Alex didn\'t come to take her life. There were only two possibilities. First, Alex didn\'t know about their family relationship with the Black Devil Sect. Second, that battle heavily injured him, making him unable to move. There was actually a third reason, which meant Alex died together with Moar in that flashy attack, but she didn\'t want to think that because it sounded too good to be true.
Looking at how he beat Moar\'s group, there was no way that Alex would be foolish enough to attack them without a plan. If he attacked them, it would only mean one thing. Alex had a great plan that would lead him into victory. There was no need to think too hard for that since she would die at that time.
After a few more days, the day for Cultivation Place was finally opened. Mio was smiling, knowing Alex wouldn\'t come. She accepted Chloe\'s invitation to meet before entering the cultivation place.
The place was right in front of the barrier. Chloe was as fast as always and arrived at this place first. Ganga and Mitras arrived at the same time before turning their head around, sensing Mio\'s presence.
"I am not late, am I?" Mio calmly smiled while observing these three\'s expressions.
"No. Just barely make it." Mitras snorted, thinking if a minister acted like that, he would hit him as only the royal could arrive the lastest.
Ganga only shrugged his shoulders and stared at Chloe, "So, what do you want to talk about by gathering us here?"
"There are a few topics that need to be discussed. However, there is actually one matter that we need to discuss first." Chloe said while looking at them sharply.
Even Ganga furrowed his eyebrows and opened his mouth. "Black Devil Sect and the mysterious group."
"To be exact, the mysterious group." Mitras cut in before continuing. "There is nothing to say about the Black Devil Sect other than serve them right."
"Indeed. Even I know how bad their conduct is. Still, I should say it. They are useful to control people, especially in this barrier." Ganga nodded.
"So, what is this mysterious group, Chloe? Do you have any information about them?" Mio broke her silence and looked at Chloe while narrowing her eyes.
"I don\'t have a single clue about them other than they are mysterious and dangerous." Chloe shook her head helplessly. "I want to talk about this based on assumptions and from what we had seen a week ago."
"You can start the discussion." Mitras stretched his hand, letting her talk first because he knew Chloe was the most skeptical person out of the people here.
Chloe mysteriously set her eyes on Mitras for a few seconds before nodding her head. "All of you must have seen the condition of the battlefield. I believe their group is not merely from what Ganga and I had seen."
"Do you have a prediction on how many people they have?" Mio asked.
"To destroy Black Devil Sect… A hundred people should be the minimum. Even so, most of them should be 7-Star Martial Emperor at the very least. They can make a guerilla tactic and chip away their number. The number can be decreased if they have Array Masters and use many arrays skillfully… but I still believe their number should be more than fifty." Chloe explained carefully.
"Hmm… They indeed succeeded with their plan because they managed to kill many Black Devil Sect members before they decided to gather on that plain." Mitras nodded in agreement.
"Still, I have asked my subordinates to search for a masked man, but none of them sees them. They might have perished together with the Black Devil Sect… You must remember about the flame pillar that shot to the sky a week ago." Ganga said.
"This is why people call you a muscle brain." Mio snorted before saying, "If we believe in something like that, we would be attacked at a time we never expected. We need to assume that our enemies are still alive unless we have confirmed their corpses."
"Indeed. I still believe they are still alive somewhere… and I could only believe to the extent of heavily injured, not dead." Chloe agreed with Mio. "That\'s why I want us to make a rotation for our people."
"A rotation? Do you want to set up a defense perimeter for our disciples? I know that they are basically free because of the limited number of Cultivation Room. However, they could still benefit from staying around the rooms and cultivate with the excess Spiritual Energy." Mitras raised a problem.
"Mitras. There won\'t be any benefit if we die!" Mio narrowed her eyes, looking at Mitras with a grim expression.
Mitras furrowed his eyebrows before letting her continue.
"I know that asking the people to set up a perimeter is too much for influences. That\'s why I want all of you to make a rotation of your disciples. Each influence will send two hundred of their disciples every day to set up a parameter. Eight hundred people are not easy to kill, so I believe that should be enough." Chloe explained.
"I understand. The other two hundred can stay inside and cultivate while the rest can stay outside and cultivate but not entering the deep cultivation state. They should be able to realize if they are attacked and help the disciples." Mitras nodded.
"Yeah. That\'s what I am planning to do." Chloe paused for a few seconds and said. "First, I want to see whether you agree with my plan? If you have any objection, raise it now! I don\'t want to have an objection later."
"I don\'t have a problem. It\'s for our and our influences\' safety. The fact that you have made the proposal and discussed it with us is enough for me to agree." Mitras nodded.
"Haha… Sounds good. Although I want to fight this mysterious group, our real target is the place behind this barrier." Ganga laughed while pointing at the barrier.
"I agree. They are mysterious and dangerous, and it\'s better to band together than having them kill us." Mio shrugged.
"Since all of you have agreed, we can move on from this topic." Chloe continued to the next topic. "The second topic I want to discuss is the split. As you know, we have lost the Black Devil Sect, which meant their spots would be split among us and the rogue cultivator."
"Agreed. The rogue cultivators are also nice because we can invite a few of them in this event like we usually do. If they can get power up before we invite them, it would be better since we don\'t need to spare more resources." Mitras quickly agreed with her as he could already see her proposal.
"Yeah. I am planning to split them into five ways. We, four influences, and they can have two hundred rooms each. Seeing how they have fewer people, we can grab our share after a few days and let more disciples cultivate. It might only be for one or two days, but it should be enough." Chloe nodded.
"But… shouldn\'t they outside to protect us?" Ganga asked.
"No. If it\'s only one or two days, the mysterious group won\'t attack us because it will be harder. After all, the disciples should have gotten a power-up by cultivating for a few days in this place." Chloe shook her head and explained.
"I see." Ganga looked down, weighing something in his mind.
"Do any of you have a problem with this decision?" Chloe asked with a sharp eye.
"No. I don\'t have a problem." Mitras raised his hand, agreeing with her plan.
"My Tyrant Clan also agrees with this plan." Ganga nodded.
"My Ancient Blue Family will proceed accordingly." Mio closed her eyes and let out a long sigh.
Chloe nodded before calling her trusted subordinate. She told them to inform the disciples and the rogue cultivators about the splitting. The news should bring happiness to the rogue cultivators, and they would also be thankful for such a gracious chance. This way, they could invite them to their influences easier. It was two birds with one stone.
"Is that all?" Mitras asked while crossing his arms.
"Yeah. I believe so unless you want to discuss another problem… Of course, don\'t talk about the outside world problem and bring it here. I don\'t want us to have a conflict because of this mysterious group." Chloe nodded.
"No. I don\'t have a problem." Mitras shook her head. "I am going to inform my subordinate first before coming back here to make sure none of you have a head start."
Ganga and Mio exchanged looks and nodded. They also disappeared for a while before returning.
They didn\'t have a single conversation for an hour before the barrier showed another sign.
"Look, it is opening." Ganga pointed at the barrier behind Chloe as the top of the barrier slowly opened and continued to the lower part.
"It seems the time has come. Ask the disciples to go according to the plan if they want to survive." Mio nodded before sending a thought transmission to her subordinate. The other also did the same thing.
After sending the information to their respective subordinates, they exchanged looks and went inside.
