Chapter 247

Chapter 247

The second semester of Yeoul Arts Middle School began after the summer break.

Unlike usual, Seo-jun arrived at school early in the morning and put his bag down in the classroom.

He took out a file from his bag.

Inside the file, there were several flyers that Seo-jun had made at home.

Should I start from the first floor?

Seo-jun left the empty classroom and posted the flyers on the bulletin boards of each floor.

The students who came to school early saw the senior standing in front of the bulletin board and tried to pass by quietly, but they stopped when they realized that he was Seo-jun.

What is he doing?

It looks like hes posting something.

The students who were excited to see Seo-jun after his power had faded during the summer break, calmed down a bit and became curious about what he was doing.

When Seo-jun finished posting the flyers on the first floor and went up to the second floor, the students rushed to the bulletin board.

A crisp A4 paper without any wrinkles stood out.

Wow.

[Recruiting members for graduation performance]

[Team leader: Lee Seo-jun, 3rd grade, class 2]

As soon as the flyer was posted, Yeoul Arts Middle School was in an uproar.

Ahhh! He finally posted it!

The students who had been glancing at the bulletin board every day since Seo-jun submitted his application for the graduation performance in March, took pictures of the flyer and uploaded them to their group chat.

Some of them ran to their class in surprise.

The students who were on their way to school or just got on the bus also widened their eyes at the flood of messages.

It didnt take long for the news to spread throughout Yeoul Arts Middle School, which had three departments and two classes per grade.

The art department, music department, and acting department were all in a frenzy.

Even the teachers office was buzzing.

Teacher! Seo-jun senior posted his flyer! Ill be back soon!

The second grade class president ran out of the teachers office with a gleam in his eyes.

The homeroom teacher admired his agile figure.

Hes amazing. Ive never seen him run like that.

The teachers laughed.

But Seo-jun finally decided.

I thought he would cancel.

There were cases where students canceled their graduation performance applications.

When they couldnt find a suitable script or actors to work with, when their work was too much for Yeoul Hall to handle, when they ran out of time to practice and their team fell apart, there were various reasons since it was a voluntary performance by the students.

Im really looking forward to this graduation performance.

Me too.

But what is Seo-juns work?

***

Mirror?

What is Mirror?

They were glad that Seo-jun senior posted his flyer, but they didnt know what the work name was, so the second grade students tilted their heads.

Seok! What is Mirror?

Then the question always turned to Kim Han Seok, who was closest to Seo-jun senior.

Hold on.

<Sis! What is Mirror?

Joo Kyung: Its a book! Seo-jun adapted it from a book!

Joo Kyung: Wow How did he think of adapting a book?

Joo Kyung: Theres no talent bug like him!!

Wow.

What is it? What did she say?

Its a novel. He adapted it from a novel.

Wow Thats crazy

The information that spread from acting department 2nd grade class 2 soon covered Yeoul Arts Middle School.

While Yeoul Arts Middle School was amazed by Seo-juns overflowing talent,

Seo-jun, who was sitting in his seat, was anxious for a different reason than when he adapted it.

Why isnt anyone coming?

It was almost time for homeroom, but no one came to apply.

He thought some of his classmates would apply, but they were all looking at their phones.

Joo Hee, Joo Kyung, Ji Ho, and Jae Han were no different.

He wondered if something happened that he didnt know about, so he took out his phone, but nothing was different.

He put his phone back in his pocket and a shadow crossed his face.

Its not a difficult song

The music department students who would be in charge of the background music too.

Its easy to make backgrounds

The art department students who would make the backgrounds and props too.

No one came.

Did I fail?

He expected that he wouldnt be able to find a work he wanted or adapt it, but he never thought that he would fail because he couldnt find people.

A white paper appeared on Seo-juns desk as his face darkened more and more.

Seo-jun. Heres my application.

Seo-jun, who was looking at his desk with a serious expression, slowly lifted his head and looked at Jae Han.

Superstar Lee Seo-jun smiled brightly, unlike ever before.

He seemed to see flowers and halos in the background.

His aura drew the attention of the students who had been looking at their phones.

Jae Han, thank you! But I might not be able to do the play.

Huh?

Seo-jun, who had breathed a sigh of relief that he had one more actor, pursed his lips at the still insufficient applications.

It seems like the others are not interested. Da Ho hyung said that half of the 2nd and 3rd graders would apply, so I was a little worried I guess I worried for nothing. No one is coming. What if I cant do the play?

The day after he finished adapting.

Anh Da Ho told him that he might have to audition for at least 40 people, so he half-expected it and made an audition schedule.

He felt embarrassed that he had drunk too much soup with just one applicant.

This was a blanket kick situation.

He would kick the blanket before going to bed.

He would kick the blanket in the library of life.

If his next life saw Seo-juns book, it might be in the top 10 of his black history.

Seo-juns words made Ji Ho, who was sitting next to Seo-jun, let out a bitter laugh.

Thats because theyre all looking up what Mirror is.

Still. I wrote down the character names and genders and images

They all know how high your standards are. Do you think youll give them a proper look if they apply hastily? What if you say Lets audition right now? Theyll be dead meat.

Hmm.

He was right, so Seo-jun closed his mouth.

Im buying the book right now too. Just wait a few days for the audition.

Joo Hee, who had been furiously tapping her phone, blinked her eyes and said.

Me too. Ugh. This is sold out too.

Theres no place that has the book! Does this publisher want to sell books or not?!

The other students who were holding their phones also complained.

Seo-jun blinked his eyes at their reactions. Huh?

Are you all buying the book?

Yeah. So extend the application period a bit.

Joo Hee said with a flash in her eyes and Seo-jun nodded his head with a bewildered expression.

Jae Han, who was the first to submit his application, scratched his cheek and said.

I was able to apply now because I borrowed the book from you and read it. Otherwise, it would have taken me a few days.

Is that so?

So they werent uninterested.

Seo-jun felt relieved and smiled.

Lucky you. You got to read the book.

Joo Kyung envied him and Jae Han shook his head.

But I still have to buy the book. Who reads a novel and thinks, I have to memorize this characters lines or I have to analyze and act this character? I read it very comfortably.

Thats true.

Who thinks of making a play out of a book There is someone who does.

Joo Kyung, Jae Han, and Ji Ho looked at Seo-jun, who laughed awkwardly.

Ah! This is sold out too!

Ahhh! I bought it!

Wait, where are you?!

Address, address!

Seo-jun felt like he had caused a commotion and quietly put Jae Hans application in the file.

**

Mom! Mom! Mom!!

The mother sighed at her sons scream as he returned from school.

You didnt go to acting school

Seo-jun senior!

The son who rushed in uttered the magic word that could calm his mothers anger.

The mother who was about to explode ran to her son.

Why Seo-jun senior!

He posted his flyer for the graduation performance!

Finally!

The name that was mentioned at least once a week by her son since he entered Yeoul Arts Middle School.

Seo-jun.

She heard that he applied for the graduation performance in March, but he didnt post the flyer even after the first semester and the summer break.

The mothers eyes sparkled.

Did you apply?

No!

The mother grabbed the back of her sons neck at his quick answer.

My sweet son. Why didnt you?

I dont know the work!

Didnt you do all kinds of things at the academy?

She heard that he practiced various works, even ones that middle schoolers shouldnt do.

Or not. Should she change his acting school?

The son opened his mouth when the mother was seriously considering it.

Seo-jun senior made it himself!

What?

He adapted it from a novel and made it into a play!

Adapted? By himself?

It was a skill that didnt seem like a senior who was only one year older.

Well, he did have a career as a Hollywood actor.

Wow But why didnt you apply?

I wanted to, but Han Seok said that if I auditioned poorly, I wouldnt catch his eye. He might even hate me. He said that even if I failed the audition, I would leave a good impression on Seo-jun senior if I acted well, so I didnt apply!

Son.

Yes?

Be friends with Han Seok.

Yes!

He was already friends with him, but he had to be closer!

The mother stroked her sons head, who was nodding vigorously.

How could her son be so innocent?

Oh right! Mom, I need some money!

Why do you need money?

He said the original work was a novel. Im going to buy the book at the bookstore! Its sold out online! Everyone in my class is going to buy the book too!

You should have said that first!

The mother jumped up and grabbed her handbag with one hand and her sons hand with the other and ran out of the house.

The places near the school must be sold out by now. We have to go far away. Son. Buckle up!

Yes.

The son unknowingly held onto his seat belt with both hands as he saw his mother burning with passion.

***

Ssoda. Cough. Give me soda.

Thats weird. This alcoholic doesnt drink alcohol.

Despite his friends teasing, the employee of Youngwoong Publishing House avoided the green bottle full of alcohol and drank from the long green bottle of soda.

Why are you so different when youre both green?

Whats wrong with you? Just have one drink.

No! I cant get drunk!

Oh. Just try one drink.

The employee who had resisted temptation and returned home quickly washed up and went to bed.

I wish it was November already

Then he could drink as much as he wanted.

It was only September now, and he sighed sadly and fell asleep.

The next morning.

I cant get drunk!!

The employee jumped up.

His face was pale with cold sweat.

He had a nightmare.

His friends poured him alcohol and he drank it as if it was delicious.

The scene changed and he was in front of a microphone at what looked like a press conference, babbling to reporters.

He even saw the villain mode Jin Natra glaring at him from behind the reporters.

Phew. I wish they would reveal it soon.

He scratched his head and looked at his phone to check the time.

It was the weekend, but he woke up too late,

[Missed calls 43]

[Text messages 82]

[Banana Talk 325]

Huh?

His heart sank.

He felt a chill down his spine and shivered.

His face was covered with cold sweat.

His hands and feet were sweaty.

!!

What if the nightmare he had was not a dream?

He couldnt even utter a word and reached for his phone with trembling hands. He tapped on the search site app. He couldnt bring himself to check Banana Talk and text messages.

Im sorry, boss! Editor-in-chief!

How long did he have to repent for his sins, he wondered as he looked at his phone with his eyes barely open.

He didnt need to search or try to find anything.

It was written right in front of him in large letters.

[Actor Lee Seo-jun, starring in the play Juror!]

Im screwed Huh?

The employee blinked his eyes.

Huh??
