Chapter 1383 The King 2
Gu Chaoyan looked at him and then said to the King calmly, "You are having an allergy, and it may have something to do with your daily life, or food. Does anyone else work at Qianqing Palace? That person doesn't know what you eat and what you should not touch… how cruel that person is!"
Gu Chaoyan said as she started to go through her medical kit, as if seeking for something.
The King thought about what she said - did anyone else work at Qianqing Palace? De Fu was always the only one working here…
He frowned and glared at De Fu.
De Fu had been working for him for so many years so how could he have made such a mistake about what he ate and his daily routine.
Causing him to end up feeling so bad.
De Fu felt sweat coming out of his back. He kneeled down. "It is my fault, sorry, sorry, please, punish me!"
He kept kowtowing.
The King inhaled heavily.
"You will get no bonus this year!" The King snapped angrily.
He was not going to give him a real punishment. He trusted De Fu the most and knew that he was devoted enough not to get replaced, so he had to give him some small punishments that would not hurt.
That was the best arrangement he could make, but the King was still quite annoyed. He just could not vent his anger.
De Fu wiped his sweat.
He knew what the King was like. He received punishment but the King was still unhappy with him.
He would rather that the King scolded him or vented his anger, so that this would be the end of it, but the King did none of this, which made him feel very worried.
He sighed and continued to stay on his knees.
He felt so regretful for having offended Gu Chaoyan just to make the King happy the other day. Now she was totally out of his control and kept giving him a hard time.
De Fu felt very bitter inside.
Gu Chaoyan was very calm. She took out the medical cream, passed it to a maid and said carefully, "Give the medical cream to the King, and the pain and itch should fade."
Having done that, Gu Chaoyan started to write prescriptions.
The prescription was simple, and she had already come up with it.
Taking advantage of the spare time, she glanced at De Fu from the corner of her eye, and saw his dejected expression, Gu Chaoyan did not take pleasure in his misfortune. She did this to him this time, not only because De Fu offended her at the beginning, but because of the sudden thing on the King's face. She needed to find an excuse, or she would get herself in trouble.
So she had to use De Fu as the scapegoat.
De Fu was not a good guy. He was in the same team as the King, and she was not giving him an unjust punishment either.
Gu Chaoyan continued to write the prescription.
The King felt much better after the medical cream was applied, so he asked straightforwardly, "So I can rely on the cream from now on?"
