Chapter 1184: Shatterer and Seize

Chapter 1184: Shatterer and Seize

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The green light poured into the seawater, making the underwater seaweed grow wildly, dyeing the entire sea surface a dark green, almost black.

Splash! Splash! Splash!

Endless strands of seaweed shot up from the water. With a loud thud, Primal Kyogre, suspended in the sky, was dragged down, crashing into the sea, shattering the ice as water instantly engulfed it.

At that moment, a golden lightning pillar controlled by Dragonite cut through the sky, crashing into the ocean with a thunderous roar. Kyogre\'s piercing wails resonated from beneath the waves.

However, although Florges managed to turn the tables on Kyogre, it had exhausted all its strength and collapsed onto the ice alongside the five Grass-type Pokémon.

Seeing this, Yuga quickly recalled them to their Poké Ball and released Lapras and Chimecho.

"Lapras, Sheer Cold!"

In response, Lapras flew over the spot where Kyogre had fallen. Its entire body emitted an intense chill, and in an instant, the shattered ocean surface refroze. No one knew what had become of Kyogre below.

Ghetsis, who had originally intended to part ways with Maxie, couldn\'t help but mutter when he saw this scene, "A monster, a true monster!" This delay kept him from leaving.

After dealing with Kyogre, Yuga turned around and rode Charizard, bringing along three Pokémon to support Rayquaza.

After its Primal Reversion, Groudon\'s power had surged, and for a moment, even Mega Rayquaza showed signs of being overpowered.

Before Yuga\'s arrival, Rayquaza had sustained injuries from fighting both Groudon and Kyogre simultaneously, which were now affecting its combat ability.

Boom!

A golden light beam, controlled by Primal Groudon, shot toward Rayquaza, who was charging up a Dragon Ascent, leaving it no time to defend or dodge.

Steven\'s Mega Metagross promptly erected a Reflect, but it was shattered effortlessly.

Just then, another Reflect appeared, which also shattered shortly after. However, a timely Origin Pulse nullified Primal Groudon\'s Precipice Blades.

Yuga had arrived with Chimecho and Lapras.

Boom!

Mega Rayquaza\'s Dragon Ascent was finally unleashed, and Primal Groudon, just having launched Precipice Blades, was sent crashing to the ground, the small island beneath it sinking under its weight.

Mega Rayquaza glanced at Yuga from the corner of its eye, seeing that he had escaped Kyogre unharmed, thinking, "A truly ruthless human!"

Yuga\'s arrival turned the tide of the battle between Mega Rayquaza and Primal Groudon once more.

Meanwhile, Dark Lugia and Giratina remained locked in a dead heat, their clashes sending tremors through the air as neither could gain the upper hand.

Just as everyone was focused on their opponents, a sudden rumble came from below, and Primal Kyogre broke through the ice once more, propelling itself high into the air with a powerful swing of its fins, like a rocket ascending.

Four light spots appeared on its fins, a clear sign of its impending Origin Pulse.

Yuga initially thought Primal Kyogre\'s target would be him, the one responsible for sinking it. However, the four blue Origin Pulses shot straight toward the multicolored giant stone hovering in the air.

Boom!

Amidst the stunned expressions of everyone and their Pokémon, the giant stone shattered, scattering fragments in all directions.

After a few seconds of shock, everyone sprang into action, scrambling to snatch pieces of the shattered stone.

Rayquaza reacted first, snapping up the nearest fragment in its mouth and swallowing it without hesitation.

Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, unwilling to fall behind, each seized a piece for themselves. Once they claimed their fragments, Groudon dove into the earth and disappeared, while Kyogre plunged into the sea and vanished from sight.

While Steven was momentarily stunned, his Mega Metagross was struck by a fragment, and instinctively caught it with its psychic power.

In the direction of Dark Lugia and Giratina, a fragment also appeared. Giratina showed no desire to seize it, allowing Dark Lugia to snatch it effortlessly.

Although Yuga failed to grab a piece, his Chimecho managed to claim a medium-sized fragment.

Meanwhile, Cosmoem had slipped out at some point, using its incredible teleportation skills to secure the largest fragment. As soon as it obtained the piece, Cosmoem returned to the shadow space at top speed, leaving no trace. Even Yuga, its Trainer, hadn\'t noticed it had left.

Proton and Ariana, stunned by Kyogre\'s sudden shattering of the stone, quickly recovered. Ariana ordered, "Retreat!"

Since the stone had broken, and with fragments already in the possession of Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, as well as Yuga and Steven, they knew they had no hope of reclaiming them. Rather than risking further confrontation, they decided to withdraw, satisfied that Dark Lugia had managed to secure a fragment.

From the invisible aircraft, a concealed device emerged, releasing a Poké Ball that silently captured Dark Lugia.

The Poké Ball was unmistakably a Master Ball.

By the time Giratina realized what had happened, Dark Lugia was already gone.

After retrieving Dark Lugia, Proton and Ariana discreetly piloted the aircraft away.

Meanwhile...

Having parted ways with Maxie, Ghetsis was preparing to leave in his own aircraft when he suddenly heard a clang on its roof.

He sent out his Accelgor to investigate, and it returned with a palm-sized fragment of the stone.

"This is... this is..."

Taking the stone fragment from Accelgor, Ghetsis was overcome with excitement, running his fingers over it repeatedly, almost at a loss for words. This was truly a treasure that had come to him effortlessly!

The fragment still held a cool, damp sensation, likely from Primal Kyogre\'s Origin Pulse, which felt unusually distinct to Ghetsis.

Unlike the elated Ghetsis, Maxie left with a belly full of frustration, feeling as though his efforts had been completely wasted, without gaining any advantage.

Seeing that Kyogre, Groudon, and Dark Lugia had all disappeared, Rayquaza quickly flew to the side of its clone to check on its injuries.

At this moment, the clone Rayquaza lay weakly on a remote island not far from the battlefield.

Seeing that the battle was nearly over and that Yuga wouldn\'t need it anymore, Giratina prepared to return to the Distortion World.

Noticing this, Yuga quickly flew over to thank it, saying, "Giratina, I owe you one this time."

Giratina shook its head, feeling it was no big deal; this was just a way of reciprocating. After all, every time it visited Yuga\'s Ecopark, it would absorb a portion of the life force.

After bidding farewell to Yuga, Giratina found an unfrozen spot, opened its mouth, and shot a beam of light toward the sea surface, creating a whirlpool. It dove into the vortex and vanished from sight.

Yuga wanted to take the clone Rayquaza with him, but the clone was too injured. Feeling sympathetic, Yuga offered a Max Revive, and Rayquaza, for once, stopped glaring at Yuga with hostility.

The effect of the Max Revive was remarkable; as soon as it was consumed, the clone Rayquaza was revitalized and full of energy.

Before leaving, the clone Rayquaza specifically expressed its gratitude to Yuga. Although it didn\'t offer anything substantial in return, at least it had boosted the legendary Pokémon\'s favorability toward him.

Thus, the enmity between him and Rayquaza was officially resolved.

Watching as the two Rayquazas soared into the sky and disappeared, Steven approached Yuga, saying, "Thanks to your timely arrival, we would have definitely lost this battle otherwise."

Yuga humbly replied, "I just happened to be here."

Steven remarked, "It doesn\'t matter if it was by chance or not; what matters is that the problem has been resolved. By the way, how did you manage to call in a Legendary Pokémon like Giratina?"

Yuga explained, "I helped it a little when I was in Sinnoh with Cynthia." This wasn\'t a lie; they had indeed assisted Giratina in finding the Griseous Orb.

Steven didn\'t doubt Yuga\'s words, but his envy was palpable. He also wanted to help some legendary Pokémon, but unfortunately, he never received the opportunity.

"You\'re already this impressive; why not just take the Champion position?" Steven seized the opportunity to try and persuade Yuga.

Yuga looked at him with a deadpan expression and replied, "With me being this readily available, what more do you want?"

Steven: ...Another day of failed persuasion.

"Alright, alright, I take back what I said."

The two of them then began discussing how to deal with the stone fragments. Even though they hadn\'t lost this time, they hadn\'t won either, as one of the stone fragments had been taken by Dark Lugia.

Everyone in the League was aware that Dark Lugia was in Team Rocket\'s possession.

"Team Rocket is becoming more and more brazen; they\'re getting increasingly reckless!" Steven said, filled with indignation.

Yuga nodded in agreement, "Yeah, but let\'s leave the stone fragments to the League; we can\'t really figure out what these things are."

Steven acknowledged, "That\'s true."

"Let\'s search around and see if there are any other scattered fragments." Yuga suddenly suggested.

Given the hurried departure of Dark Lugia, Kyogre, and Groudon, it was likely that there were undiscovered fragments.

"Good point."

So the two of them, along with their Pokémon, searched the surrounding waters but found nothing.

If something had indeed fallen into the sea, it would be challenging to locate, akin to searching for a needle in a haystack.

What Yuga and Steven didn\'t know was that after they left, Maxie had quietly returned with his crew. He was piloting a submarine and had searched over and over again but found nothing.

"Damn it, they won\'t even leave a drop of soup for others to drink!" Maxie angrily slammed the submarine\'s hatch, shouting to his subordinates, "Keep looking! I refuse to believe we can\'t find even one piece!"

At that moment, a charming blue shadow suddenly appeared outside the submarine. It circled around Maxie\'s submarine a few times before a surge of water enveloped the submarine, causing it to tilt uncontrollably, and the pilot struggled to maintain control.

"What\'s going on? What happened?" Maxie shouted, clutching the hatch to keep his balance. "Quick, check everything!"

The blue figure watched as the submarine was carried farther and farther away by the swirling waters, covering its mouth and giggling before disappearing. A flash of rainbow-colored light gleamed across its body.

With the battle over, Steven quickly contacted Mr. Kuni\'o to report the outcome, informing him that he didn\'t need to rush over anymore.

In the past, a battle of this magnitude would have required Mr. Kuni\'o\'s personal intervention, but now it had been resolved without his assistance.

Afterward, Yuga and Steven met up with Mr. Kuni\'o in Fallarbor Town.

Having not seen his disciple in a while, Mr. Kuni\'o was overjoyed, especially he was proud of how well Yuga had handled the recent events.

"Looks like you won\'t need these old bones of mine much longer before retirement."

Yuga immediately responded, "Master, you don\'t look old at all; you look quite young."

While there was a bit of flattery in Yuga\'s words, Mr. Kuni\'o truly did look robust—nothing like a frail old man. In fact, he appeared younger than the Elder of the Temple Clan who is younger than him.

Yuga\'s lineage, though small and without a formal faction, was known for its longevity, which was unmatched by most. The Elder of the Draconid People, the Elder of th Temple Clan, and the Elder of the Village of Dragons—they all might go before Mr. Kuni\'o; who could say for sure?

"Indeed, we juniors are still counting on your guidance!" Steven gazed admiringly at Mr. Kuni\'o, who was a legendary figure to any trainer.

Mr. Kuni\'o laughed, saying, "You\'re not bad yourself. Hoenn has a bright future ahead." Steven was indeed outstanding; even with Yuga around, he wasn\'t far off from Mr. Kuni\'o\'s abilities in his younger days.

After a brief chat with Mr. Kuni\'o, Yuga and Steven began giving a detailed report on the recent battle, and arrangements were made to send a team to the site to conduct further searches for any remaining stone fragments.

Even though Yuga and Steven had searched the area, their abilities alone were limited. A comprehensive, grid-based search was the safest approach.

The League also swiftly established a dedicated research group to study the stone fragments. Both Yuga and Steven handed over the fragments they had collected.

Although there was no recorded footage of Rayquaza\'s Mega Evolution using the stone, the recent Primal Reversions of Kyogre and Groudon had been documented, and they also now had fragments from the stone.

These research materials were incredibly valuable.

The research group included not only Professor Oak but also Professor Sycamore.

In light of Team Rocket\'s recent actions, the League Headquarters was furious, sparking a wave of reports and arrests targeting Team Rocket throughout Kanto and Johto. Team Rocket had quickly become public enemy number one.

Yet, following these events, Team Rocket, which had been relatively conspicuous, suddenly went silent. The League only managed to capture minor operatives—none of the big fish.

Yuga had also become increasingly busy.

The headquarters\' campaign against Team Rocket in Kanto and Johto had extended to Hoenn as well. Although Hoenn\'s actions weren\'t as prominent as those in the other two regions, measures were still being taken.

Team Rocket\'s presence in Hoenn was already minimal, and with their Kanto headquarters lying low, their Hoenn operatives became even less active.

Yuga and Steven spent many days assisting the Investigation Bureau in their search efforts, but their efforts yielded little reward, leaving them utterly exhausted.
