Chapter 227: Trampling the Ancestral Temple!
Chapter 227: Trampling the Ancestral Temple!
"I have no right to surrender, huh?" the Violet Emperor muttered, recalling his last encounter with Yun Xiao. The words still lingered in his ears, scorching at his heart like a brand. A deep murderous intent surged in his eyes.
"One of you, either you or Moon Fairy, must perish. Today, it seems, it is your end, Yun Xiao." Having said this, the Violet Emperor prepared to descend the stairs to congratulate Moon Fairy. Of the original five great Demon Emperors, he had been closest to this Heavenly Hound, but it appeared those days were long gone.
Just then, a chilling, blood-red light suddenly emerged behind the Violet Emperor, wrapping around his neck like creeping vines.
"Who's there?" The Violet Emperor felt a cold shiver down his spine and whirled around!
In the darkness stood a tall woman with black hair and red eyes, her skin like snow and her legs shapely. Horns like blood dragons adorned her head, her face as bewitching as a devil, naturally seductive, truly a rare beauty.
"Your Highness, the War Princess!" The Violet Emperor, both respectful and fearful, quickly knelt. He knew this devil from the Endless Netherworld held a high position and wielded great power. She came to see him alone?
The War Princess stood, her face a mask of deep, cold indifference. She didn't speak but walked beside the Violet Emperor, facing the grand doors of the Ancestral Temple.
The Mortal Dust Devil Blood surged from her body, like blood dragons coiling around the Violet Emperor. This bloodthirsty, sinister aura exerted immense pressure on him. This invisible force, in reality, was a suppression of the Violet Emperor's very soul, making him instinctively bow lower, his face slightly pale.
In the Divine and Demon Continents, the only beings the Violet Emperor revered were Forbidden Fate and this War Princess.
"Do you know why Divine Dawn won't open the gates of the Heavenly Realm and the Primordial Array?" the War Princess suddenly asked, her voice as cold as if it came from the netherworld.
The Violet Emperor was momentarily stunned, then shook his head, "I do not know, My Lady."
"The reason is simple," the War Princess said nonchalantly. "Divine Dawn and I planned to lure the demons into the Heavenly Realm, cut off their retreat, and annihilate them, wiping out their entire race."
At these words, the Violet Emperor's face crinkled in shock, sucking in a breath of cold air. Considering his ties with the demons, his heart skipped a beat, his hands clenched, ready to flee at a moment's notice! But why was she telling him this?
The Violet Emperor calmed himself, his voice heavy with concern. "War Princess, aren't you friends with Forbidden Fate? I'm curious... why?"
"Friends? That undead abomination is worthy of friendship! Didn't your daughter visit the Endless Netherworld? Don't you know how exalted my status is?" the War Princess scoffed.
"Yes!" The Violet Emperor nodded, indeed aware of her esteemed position.
The War Princess looked down at him, her gaze icy. "The reason is simple. Demons are encroaching on the Divine Continent, wanting to exterminate humanity. But I don't want that. I aim to create a vast blood bank in both the Divine and Demon Continents for the Endless Netherworld. I need humans alive and those unruly, contemptible demons exterminated to ensure the breeding of our blood slaves."
These words struck the Violet Emperor like a bolt of lightning. He knew devils loved human blood, not demon blood. On the dining tables of the Endless Netherworld, human blood was a delicacy, demon blood the dregs.
In just a few words, The Violet Emperor's reverence for the demons shattered, reducing Forbidden Fate and Moon Fairy from celestial stars to mere dust.
"War Princess!" The Violet Emperor's gaze intensified. "Do you mean to say that you and Divine Dawn have reached an agreement to exterminate the demons and then use all living beings as a blood bank to sustain the Endless Netherworld?"
"Not exactly an agreement. I deceived her," the War Princess revealed with a cold smile. "I only agreed to help her exterminate the demons, without discussing the details. Demons are stronger than humans, and due to the barrier issues of our world, only a few powerful beings from the Endless Netherworld can come here. So, I plan to eradicate the demons first, then take down Divine Dawn, playing the fisherman in the end."
"Oh..." The Violet Emperor trembled inwardly, his eyes shining. He hastily added, "My Lady, if you exterminate the demons and slay Divine Dawn, would you need a compliant, qualified human representative to manage the masses, build the blood bank, and create a prosperous human era for you? I believe Divine Dawn would rather die than agree to this, but I am more than willing!"
The War Princess chuckled lightly at his words, patting the Violet Emperor's head in approval. "You're a smart man. You understand why I sought you out alone."
"To serve the devils is my lifelong honor." The Violet Emperor bowed, a sinister smile curling at his lips.
"Once the human blood bank is established," the War Princess said casually, as if discussing something mundane. "Your Violet Sky nobility will be exempt from blood donations. The rest of humanity will be blood pigs, confined in cages their entire lives, forbidden from cultivation, bred and paired with drugs. Any resistance will implicate nine generations of their families."
"Yes! On behalf of the Violet Sky, I thank My Lady for this grace! We are prepared to die in your service." The Violet Emperor's eyes blazed with fervor.
"Divine Dawn's saintly demeanor disgusts me. You, however, are smart," the War Princess mused with a strange expression.
"I dare not presume," the Violet Emperor said humbly.
"By the way," the War Princess raised an eyebrow, "I heard you were following that undead abomination's orders to massacre civilians in the Divine Continent. Those are my blood pigs!"
The Violet Emperor shuddered, hastily replying, "Your Highness, please rest assured, I'll immediately order a halt to the operation!"
"Move quickly!" the War Princess commanded, her voice tinged with displeasure.
"Yes!" the Violet Emperor responded.
"After stopping the operation, have your 10 million-
strong army hide behind the vast horde of demon forces, awaiting my command," she ordered with an air of authority.
"Yes!" The Violet Emperor nodded in agreement.
"Go and send the message," the War Princess said, then, arms crossed, she looked towards the Ancestral Temple with a cold smirk. "That undead abomination is smarter than I thought, choosing to besiege for ten days instead of walking into my trap. Well then, I'll just flatten the Ancestral Temple first! Let's see if he takes the bait!"
"Ah?" The Violet Emperor was taken aback.
"You haven't heard the news yet?" The War Princess looked at him with disdain and chuckled coldly. "Divine Dawn and the Nine Heavens Immortal Army are already at the temple's gates. When the chaos erupts, I want you to backstab Forbidden Fate, catch him off guard."
"Y-yes!" Hearing this, the Violet Emperor's eyes quivered again.
The War Princess gave him a chilling smile. "The future of your Violet Sky nobility hinges on your next move. Perform well, or else there are plenty who'd replace you. Then, your entire noble house would be dinner for the Endless Netherworld."
The Violet Emperor took a deep breath and nodded gravely. "I understand, My Lady. I will obey!"
"Go!" The War Princess waved him off.
The Violet Emperor bowed deeply, his expression one of utmost respect, then retreated to carry out his new mission.
Once he was gone, the War Princess let out a slight sigh of relief, her gaze dimming as she spoke to her chest, "I've repeated every word you said. Are you satisfied now?"
"Somewhat. You still need to work on your acting skills compared to me," a voice came from her heart.
Remembering Moon Fairy's performance, the War Princess couldn't help but bite her lip, her expression odd, "You really are a drama king."
"Be bold, call me the King ofno, the Emperor of Acting."
At the Ancestral Temple, millions of demons were in a state of excitement. With Divine Dawn, Yun Xiao, and the humans, there was some worry. If these two exceptional heroes survived, the Demon Continent's future would be in peril.
But now, although they had lost the Eclipse Demon Emperor, they gained a peerless prodigy, sparking endless hope for the future in the hearts of the demon masses.
As the demons were celebrating, another piece of news came!
"The Nine Heavens Immortal Army is secretly assembling and charging towards the Ancestral Temple!" the birds circling high in the sky hurriedly reported. In the dark corners of the Heavenly Realm's streets, venomous insects and snakes also sensed the movement.
"They're attacking without us even probing first?"
As per Moon Fairy's plan, each of the five great demon clans had sent two hundred thousand troops, and he was about to lead a team to test the Primordial Array, but the humans had already launched an assault?
This explosive news set the hearts of millions at the Ancestral Temple ablaze with excitement! Most of them were there to watch the spectacle, and not actually part of the organized demon army.
The demons, adept at brawling and skirmishing, seemed somewhat bewildered once plunged into a state of war, especially compared to the more organized demon army gathered outside the Heavenly Realm.
"Divine Dawn is challenging the Ancestral Temple?" The Violet Emperor hurriedly entered a dark and eerie mansion. Inside this shadowy abode, the Gu Emperor, Red Lotus, and 108 Demon Saints were gathered. And of course, there was also Moon Fairy, the newly minted spiritual pillar of the demon race.
"She's forcing Forbidden Fate to bring the 100 million demons into battle. But what's the advantage of such a move?" Burning Saint pondered, his gaze inevitably drifting to Moon Fairy.
"Burning Saint, go invite the War Princess," the Gu Emperor commanded, his dark green face creased with worry. From their arrival in the Heavenly Realm to the present, mere days had passed, yet the events unfolding were exceedingly bizarre.
"Yes!" Burning Saint accepted the task and left to fetch her.
No sooner had he departed than Moon Fairy, seated in a corner, spoke up coldly, "Actually, there's no need. Those three friends of ours are likely gone."
Ape Saint, holding a book titled 'Virtue Discourse' and pausing at the chapter about the Empty Fort Strategy, fell silent upon hearing the Moon Fairy's words.
"Why are they gone?"
"Moon Fairy, please clarify," the other Demon Saints urged, all appearing perplexed.
Hadn't it been said the devils were new allies? Even if devils were known for their insatiable appetites, expanding their demands from one Empire to two or three, these were matters for negotiation, not grounds for dissolving their alliance. Why couldn't they just cooperate?
All eyes in the room turned to Moon Fairy.
"Everyone's puzzled why Forbidden Fate chose a siege instead of an immediate attack, forcing Divine Dawn out of the Heavenly Realm to confront us." Moon Fairy stood up and disclosed the conversation between him and the Forbidden Fate Demon Emperor to the group.
The faces of the demons changed dramatically as they listened.
"The devils have actually allied with Divine Dawn!"
"Just as suspected, their greed surpasses our imagination!"
"Damn them!"
"With this, the three devils plus Divine Dawn, they now have four Awakened Emperor Realm powerhouses."
The Demon Saints exchanged glances. Fortunately, with Moon Fairy and the Violet Emperor, their side at the Ancestral Temple also boasted four peak powerhouses...
