Chapter 664: Naraka's Supreme Demon!
Chapter 664: Naraka's Supreme Demon!
Clearly, the fox demons bred in the Lunar Demon Cavern were sought-after luxuries here; this very demand allowed the Lunar Mistress to curry favor with many powerful figures in Naraka!
In the Great Dao Celestial Realm, the Celestial Sourcecore was pure and stable. In stark contrast, the shattered Celestial Sourcecore of Naraka was violent, tainted, and bore the stench of death... It was likely that any celestial demon raised here would possess a corporeal form far from clean.
Given this, those tender foxes were even rarer commodities, making Moon Fairy a treasure of unparalleled rarity!
The Lunar Mistress was confident enough to offer him to the Great Mother ruling the demon territory of Naraka, a testament to Moon Fairy's astounding allure.
He remained in the palanquin until the end, always flanked by the green and blue fox women, constantly ready to touch up his makeup.
Moon Fairy could hardly stand it anymore!
Fortunately, the Colorful Mist Pool had some effect, secretly fortifying his body, allowing him to speed through the Spirit Projection, Essence Manifestation, and Divine Self Realm.
"The Celestial Sourcecore of the Celestial Court, being pure and stable, ironically, resists transformation into Desolate Essence."The situation in Naraka was quite the opposite.
Because of this, Naraka had become the dominion of demons and devils who required desolation to forge their physical forms!
Although Moon Fairy had not left the palanquin, he could sense and hear enough to understand that the Celestial Demon Abyss operated like a primitive society—brutal, with the strong preying on the weak.
And they harbored a strong desire to encroach upon the Great Dao Celestial Realm.
Such greed was etched into the lineage of these groups of demons and devils across generations!
Compared to the Great Dao Celestial Realm, Naraka was truly a land of harshness.
And the delicate humans were undoubtedly the finest of delicacies.
The Celestial Demon Conference was a gathering for those in the Golden Immortal Realm or above, with the primary goal of unifying their strategy for the upcoming war.
"Though the demons consume flesh and drink blood, they harbor aspirations of civility, like beasts donning human guises wishing to mimic human decorum."
How similar was this to the demons of the Demon Continent?
Memories of the Eternal Joy Demon Emperor, Lady Hua Lian, and Eclipse Demon Emperor... flooded Moon Fairy's mind.
He lightly brushed the heart-shaped earring dangling from his ear.
"I wonder where you might survive."
This regret, deep-seated and lingering, resurfaced as he listened to the uproar of the celestial demons outside.
"The demons of the Demon Continent play petty tricks. But these celestial demons dream of using the Great Dao Celestial Realm to cleanse their demon taint and masquerade as beings of etiquette." Moon Fairy understood this sentiment all too well.
Demons insisting they were human—it was a farce. If they weren't trying to fool themselves, Naraka would rightfully be called the Demon Devil Realm.
From the window of the palanquin, Moon Fairy occasionally glanced at the grand assembly of celestial demons. Palatial structures tiered one above the other in splendor, enveloped in celestial mists and surrounded by fragrant verdure...
At first glance, one might mistake this for the Celestial Court!
But a longer look revealed the truth. The celestials were but swine, the mists were a miasma of decay, and the laughter was the low growl of beasts.
At last, the long wait was over.
In a hushed tone, the green fox whispered by his side, "The Great Mother did not attend today. We are to take you to the Divine Desolation Sea."
"The Divine Desolation Sea? Is that a place filled with desolation?" Moon Fairy asked.
"Yes... it's one of the two fragmented cores of Naraka's Celestial Sourcecore, constantly transforming celestial energy into desolation..." the green fox spoke earnestly. "But don't get carried away. It's the Great Mother's private bath, and no demon dares covet even a drop, for the consequences extend beyond mere death."
The blue fox added with a hint of reverence, "It's said that the creatures devoured by the Great Mother don't die; they are eternally imprisoned within her body, enduring everlasting torment as long as she exists."
"Stop, you're frightening our dear Moon Fairy," the green fox scolded her, then quickly reassured him, "Don't mind her nonsense. You're a rare treasure, and the Great Mother will surely favor you."
No sooner had she finished speaking than the Lunar Mistress and Wuqing entered.
It was their first time seeing Moon Fairy so adorned, and their eyes betrayed their surprise and delight.
"What do you think, mother?" Wuqing asked.
"Marvelous," the Lunar Mistress replied.
How could he not be, with a body forged by the Will of Divine Desolation?
"Let's set off."
The Lunar Mistress was clearly very pleased with Moon Fairy.
She immediately activated the palanquin, soaring above the clouds of the Celestial Demon Abyss, heading toward its central locus.
Along the way, the Lunar Mistress repeatedly cautioned him.
Only when she was certain that Moon Fairy would not seek his own demise did she finally say with gravity, "I have led you to the path; whether you soar to great heights or become but a handful of dust is now up to you."
"I understand," Moon Fairy nodded.
"Go out and breathe the air; behold the majestic landscapes of the Celestial Demon Abyss."
Saying this, the Lunar Mistress and Wuqing walked ahead.
Unbeknownst to them, Yun Xiao, whom they had encountered at the Divine Heavenly Pavilion while attending to Lu Fan, was now standing right beside them in the form of Moon Fairy.
Moon Fairy followed them, standing in the wind outside the palanquin.
Looking ahead, the world was a vista of steep mountains and rolling clouds, feeling vast and boundless—truly magnificent!
The grander the world, the more fierce its inhabitants.
Looking out beyond the clouds, giant beasts roamed, slaughtering all around, their cries and howls ceaseless, the air forever tainted with the stench of blood and decay.
"The celestial demons here despise this environment but won’t admit that it’s their nature that shaped it, not the structure of the world," Wuqing said disdainfully.
"Quiet," the Lunar Mistress warned. "This is the Great Mother's world; you never know where her ears might be."
Wuqing bowed her head.
Meanwhile, Moon Fairy remained silent, while the green fox and blue fox occasionally touched up his makeup.
At last, Moon Fairy could distinctly feel an immense presence of desolation ahead.
This desolation, transformed directly from the shattered Celestial Sourcecore, possessed a natural destructive force.
Looking ahead, the distant horizon was twisted, the clouds above colored. From afar, it appeared beautiful, but up close, it was clear this was a cauldron of destruction formed by desolation!
There lay the Divine Desolation Sea, the eruption point of the Celestial Demon Abyss' half of Naraka's shattered Celestial Sourcecore!
From a distance, Moon Fairy did not directly see the Divine Desolation Sea.
Instead, he saw a mountain!
The mountain stood abruptly at the horizon's edge, towering and unscalable, encircled by raging storms of wind and fire, its roar deafening.
"The mountain is truly high," Moon Fairy murmured in awe.
Wuqing stifled a laugh and glanced at him, saying, "That is not a mountain, that's the Great Mother."
Moon Fairy was stunned.
"Don't be so shocked," the Lunar Mistress said, bowing deeply with immense reverence and seriousness as they approached. "The Great Mother's sacred body surpasses all limits, she is the supreme demon of this world."
As the Lunar Mistress bowed, she respectfully called out towards the horizon, "Lunar Demon Cavern's Bai Xue, at your service… Great Mother."
As her words fell, the towering mountain at the horizon trembled and visibly began to shrink rapidly.
The whole Celestial Demon Abyss shook, the ground trembled, and the mountains quaked.
Countless celestial demons and lesser demons tucked their necks and hid, daring not to breathe aloud.
All knew that if the Great Mother appeared as a mountain, it meant she was in a slumbering state, not maintaining her form; but once the mountain vanished, the Great Mother was awake!
Amid a world-shaking rumble, as the mountain shrank, the pervasive stench of decay in the Celestial Demon Abyss seemed to dissipate, the world becoming clearer and a sweet fragrance filled the air.
The oppressive atmosphere of the Celestial Demon Abyss lessened, but the pressure on Moon Fairy and his companions soared.
With booming echoes, the mountain swiftly condensed into a sphere of black light, and in a blink, it appeared right in front of the palanquin!
Then, amidst a surge of light, a cascade of black hair unfolded!
When the light finally faded, a woman, eight feet tall, appeared before Moon Fairy, towering such that he barely reached her abdomen…
