Chapter 1210 To Pass the Time

Chapter 1210  To Pass the Time

As he watched Sullivan walk away from Valyr\'s shop with a slightly sullen expression, Braum eventually shifted his gaze towards the young man as the question came to mind.

"It\'s always better to be safe than sorry," replied Valyr with a shrug of his shoulders, thinking back to the reaction the man gave him just earlier.

Of course, it went without saying that Sullivan was against the idea of swearing a mana oath. After all, the man had gained a lot of information directly from Valyr that would help their side of the clan win the young man over at some point. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Unfortunately for him, Valyr already had an idea on how the man would make use of the information. Because of that, the young man decided to put a stop to it in advance by having him swear through a mana oath to not divulge the information he obtained from their meeting to anyone through any means.

Unsurprisingly, it was as if a switch had been flicked within Sullivan\'s mind after that, not hesitating to stop suppressing the aura and the hostile intent he\'d shown earlier in a bid to discourage Valyr from continuing with his ideas.

However, rather than forget the idea and imagine that he had never brought it up in the first place, the young man instead retaliated against the man\'s actions with his own, focusing all of his aura towards the man without hesitation.

Whoosh!

With him being able to kill Myth-level beings without issues, it was no surprise that Sullivan immediately crumpled under the sheer might of Valyr\'s aura, being reminded once more that the young man in front of him was also Ylvar.

Then again, even though he knew of what the young man was capable of, Sullivan still tried to stand his ground, showing Valyr through his actions that his position as chief adviser and head of the Zeihardt clan\'s supportive faction was not without reason.

Sadly, that only made the young man double down on his current stance.

Swoosh!

With the current situation showing Valyr that Sullivan did not want to swear a mana oath at all costs, the young man eventually let out a faint sigh as a pair of crimson trefoils began to appear around his pupils.

After that, all thoughts of resistance and opposition in Sullivan\'s mind immediately disappeared, instead being replaced with terror as he swore the mana oath with fear in his eyes.

"Don\'t you think you went a bit too far, though?" Though he agreed with Valyr\'s statement that prevention was better than cure, Braum still found the young man\'s actions to make the mana oath happen a bit over the top.

"You tell me," replied the young man, reminding Braum that Sullivan was the first to bare his fangs back at Valyr. "If you were in my shoes, were you really going to take that lying down?"

"Plus, with the information I gave him, I wouldn\'t be surprised if their side made a move sooner or later," continued the young man. "In fact, I wouldn\'t be surprised if their moves turn out to be more insidious compared to what the rebel faction did."

At those words, Braum began to slightly shudder as he pondered over it for a bit, realizing that the meeting between the two made him let his guard down in front of Sullivan.

"Who says he forwent emotions?" muttered the man with a low sigh. "He merely turned it into a variable he could use to obtain even greater benefit."

After talking a bit more about what Sullivan and the supportive faction would do now that he knew where Valyr would stay for the meantime, Valyr eventually shifted the topic of their conversation to Braum.

Specifically, what happened to Braum that made him contact the young man just as the latter was ambushed at the north defensive line.

"You told me that the rebel faction of the clan ambushed you for my whereabouts," said Valyr as his expression turned grim. "If you don\'t mind… could you tell me the whole story?"

"Well, I\'ve already gotten over the incident…" replied Braum in a way that made it seem like he wanted to drop the matter. After all, if he were to tell Valyr the full story of what happened to him, he would just be giving the young man a greater burden to bear.

Yet, with Valyr remaining adamant on knowing what he went through, the man eventually decided to give in, not withholding even a single word on the injustice he suffered that day.

From the part where he\'d been ambushed by the right hand of the rebel faction leader, to the threats that same person made on his parents just so he gave them what they wanted, Braum felt tears brim around his eyes the more he talked, recalling how useless he felt during that time.

To no surprise, Valyr felt a greater sense of anger towards the Zeihardt clan by the time the man was done talking, wanting nothing more than to head to Algerie Kingdom at that instant and demolish the entire clan estate then and there.

Fortunately, he did not let his anger get the better of himself, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down and collect his thoughts.

After that, he made a promise to Braum that the clan would eventually receive the retaliation they deserved for what they did to him, causing the latter to promise in return that he\'d give him all of the information he need and more in order to make that happen.

Part of the reason why he did that was because of all the trust Valyr had shown him thus far. Another part of the reason why he did that was because of the fear that the young man in front of him might go on a rampage.

After all, from what he could tell, Valyr seemed like a volcano just waiting to erupt at any moment.

After he and Braum parted ways, the young man took some time to cool down from the news Braum shared with him before deciding to open shop for the day.

Although it wouldn\'t be open for as long as the other days he had the shop open, a lot of players still frequented the shop nevertheless, touting that the items he sold were the best a player could get their hands-on in the early game.

Naturally, Valyr was glad to hear that, especially after he began to replenish stock while the shop was open.

Giving players a short glimpse of what kind of world blacksmithing had to offer, it was no surprise that a couple of players approached him at the end of the day if they could learn blacksmithing from him.

In the end, he decided to give them an opportunity in the form of a quest, thinking that the time it took for them to finish the quest was more than enough time for him to tie up the remaining loose ends he had.

As he had made up his mind on spending more time working on his shop in between his outings for personal tasks, it went without saying that he spent most of his time in the shop for the next few days.

Then again, he technically did head out once during those couple of days, having appeared in the Mystic Plane for a short while to give Mystia his other copy of the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction.

Fortunately, he asked her for her whereabouts first before he thought of heading to the Meltierre Empire. If not, he would have headed to the Meltierre Heavenly Court for nothing.

In total, Valyr spent half a week in the village doing nothing other than managing the shop he built, thinking that he\'d spent more than enough time in the place to head out for another of his personal tasks once more.

Coincidentally, that time was also around the second day Greater Beyond was available to the public.
