Chapter 19: Chapter 18 Liu Ermao, It's a Pity Not to Be a Best Actor
Red-haired rubbed his forehead, just touching a small bump that was painfully sharp.
This old man really hit hard!
He was really hitting to kill!
The moment Gu Yu heard Red-haired getting ready to make a move, he also immediately adopted a fighting stance.
Left foot forward, left hand raised in front.
All sorts of techniques surfaced in his mind, and he was completely confident he could have both Red-haired guys down on the ground and pummeled within a minute.
Of course, that was assuming the two men weren\'t armed.
Mr. Liu, having recovered a bit, pulled at Gu Yu\'s shoulder with a worried look:
"Kid... don\'t be impulsive! Just call the police and let them handle it, it doesn\'t matter if an old guy like me goes to the station, but don\'t get yourself involved too."
While Mr. Liu was talking, Mrs. Bai and Lin Xinyue had already taken out their mobile phones.
Seeing the phones on the other side, one of the Red-haired guys stepped back and said:
"Liu, they\'re calling the cops! There are cameras here! It\'s not good for us to do anything!"
However, Liu Ermao was flying off the handle and didn\'t care about that at all, he just picked up a stool and threw it at the corner camera!
In an instant, sparks flew everywhere; the camera was smashed and only hung by a cable in the air, not falling.
Lin Xinyue and Mrs. Bai were shocked and quickly hid in the kitchen.
"Pah! Fight! Hit him! Fuck, hit this brat too! If you two end up in the station, I\'ll cover for you!"
Liu Ermao spat fiercely on the table and commanded fiercely.
Seeing that the camera was broken and the boss had given the order, the Red-haired guys became bolder.
Exchanging a look, they charged at Gu Yu.
"Mr. Liu, you go to the kitchen too. I\'m afraid of hurting you," Gu Yu urged Mr. Liu towards the kitchen.
"Don\'t be rash! If we can\'t run the shop anymore, just let them smash it!"
Mr. Liu was almost frantic; he suddenly regretted having acted out and provoked Red-haired.
To retaliate over every grievance—that was typical of stubborn young brats. He should have just endured it, yet now he had also dragged Yue\'s boyfriend into the mix!
What a terrible mistake!
Mr. Liu reproached himself, wondering what kind of mess had they gotten themselves into!
"It\'s okay, I\'ve trained…"
As he spoke and pushed Mr. Liu into the kitchen, before he could finish, Gu Yu felt a punch aiming for the back of his head.
"Gu Yu, be careful!!!" Lin Xinyue screamed out in alarm.
Gu Yu\'s body was already enhanced, and now coupled with his combat skills, his reaction time was extremely fast.
With a crouch and side dodge, he evaded the sneaky punch.
"Crap, thugs will be thugs! They really hit damn hard!"
Feeling the punch whisk past the back of his head, Gu Yu cursed inwardly.
If that punch had landed on the back of his head, a regular person would have likely been on the ground, unable to get up!
Knowing these thugs didn\'t hold back with their strikes, Gu Yu didn\'t dare to tangle with them too much.
He moved in close and executed a bear hug takedown, throwing the first attacker over his shoulder to the ground.
The move caught the other Red-haired guy completely off guard.
To actually see a bare-handed takedown!
He had only seen this in MMA competitions!
But while he was shocked, his response wasn\'t slow, knowing that his cohort being downed would mean more pressure on him.
He took advantage of the moment Gu Yu hadn\'t fully stood up—the time between old strength receding and new strength yet to form—to rush forward.
But he clearly underestimated Gu Yu\'s abilities.
Unable to avoid with his upper body exposed, he simply didn\'t bother standing up!
A swift downward whipping kick easily brought the blonde to the ground, then a knee pressed against his belly and his cheeks were pinched, preventing any further movement.
"Don\'t court death," Gu Yu warned fiercely, pointing at his nose with his other hand.
The blonde, feeling the solid knee on his stomach and the powerful grip on his jaw, knew all too well he was dealing with an expert trained in combat!
He quickly nodded in surrender.
Only then did Gu Yu release him and stood up. He stepped over the groaning figure on the ground and walked towards Ermao.
Ermao was standing by, completely dumbfounded!
What kind of ruthless person was this!
In less than a minute, he had taken down both his minions!
Though he didn\'t understand combat, he often came across these sorts of videos and could naturally tell that Gu Yu had training.
As Gu Yu approached with a fierce look on his face,
Ermao panicked and looked behind him, only to realize he had unknowingly backed himself into a corner with no way out!
"Big brother! Big brother! I was wrong! Please, don\'t hit me!"
Ermao quickly put his hands together, shaking them, pleading for mercy. He had been roaming the streets for years and knew well to bow his head when outmatched.
Knowing when to bow his head had saved him from quite a few beatings over the years!
Gu Yu didn\'t care whether he begged for mercy or not, grabbing his bright red hair, ready for a continuous smackdown.
Seeing Gu Yu still furious, Ermao panicked.
The big brother before him was in a rage, showing every sign he wouldn\'t stop until he had given him a thorough beating!
He now deeply regretted having impulsively smashed the camera!
If the camera was still there, no matter how tough the big brother was, he\'d have to restrain himself somewhat!
Breaking the camera was like shooting himself in the foot!
Just as Ermao squinted his eyes, bracing to accept his fate, he suddenly caught sight of Mr. Liu and Mrs. Bai in the kitchen.
His eyes lit up, and he cried out for help, "Mr. Liu! Mr. Liu! Mrs. Bai! Save me, please! I know I was wrong!"
"Please, for the sake of the many years of friendship between my dad and you two, you can\'t just watch this guy beat me up!"
Ermao delivered his plea with full emotion, his voice breaking with sobs that bore no resemblance to the scornful, arrogant demeanor he had displayed earlier when he asked, "How much is friendship worth?"
He was truly scared!
Having his hair grabbed by this tough guy who was clearly experienced, who knew if after a few slaps he would still have a face left!
Gu Yu was about to raise his hand when he saw Ermao begging him, and then turning to Mr. Liu and Mrs. Bai for help. He twisted his head to look at the older couple.
If the elders asked him not to take action, he naturally wouldn\'t.
Upon hearing Ermao appeal so desperately under Gu Yu\'s clutches, Mr. Liu was angry but, after all, it was a friend\'s son and he knew being too harsh wasn\'t right.
"Ah, Yue\'s boyfriend, just let him go! It\'s good that he knows he was wrong."
When Mr. Liu spoke up, Gu Yu curled his lip but still let go of Ermao\'s hair.
"Thank you, big brother, thank you!"
Released, Ermao\'s tensions eased and he kept thanking Gu Yu.
Gu Yu ignored him; had it not been for Mr. Liu\'s sake, he would\'ve beaten this guy into a pig\'s head!
Ermao, having learned his lesson, didn\'t continue to cause trouble but quickly called his two minions:
"Let\'s go, let\'s go! All of you, get out! Don\'t make a fuss in my Uncle Liu\'s place!"
The two minions helped each other out of the store, while Ermao kept giving Gu Yu apologetic smiles.
"Hehehe, today I, Ermao, didn\'t recognize a real master! Thank you for sparing your little brother!"
His smile gradually turned resigned, and after a hesitant glance at Gu Yu, he clenched his teeth and said, "Big brother, although it was wrong of me to make a scene today..."
"But still, I must say, I hope the elders clear out the shop\'s stuff before Tomorrow. It\'s not that I, Ermao, don\'t value our friendship, but I\'ve already negotiated with the buyer, and we\'re gonna sign the contract Tomorrow..."
"You see, no matter how you look at it, this shop still belongs to the Liu family..."
As Ermao spoke, he kept glancing at Gu Yu, fearful that his words might once again provoke him.
By the end, he feigned wiping a tear and said with a heavy heart, "It\'s not that I don\'t care about our friendship, but my dad had a stroke, and we urgently need money for the surgery. I have to sell the shop fast so I can afford the treatment for my dad!"
After finishing, he pulled out a paper tissue from the table and loudly blew his nose.
Gu Yu was speechless. What an act—this guy was missing out on not making movies...
