Florida Man in Magus World: Unleashing Liberty and Freedom

Chapter 112: Florida Man Arrested for Gunning Wanted Serial Killer to Death During Police Chase

Felix continued driving along the wall as the energy mass pursued him from outside the city, its thousand tentacles whipping at him but only managing to strike the walls and nearby structures. Glancing at the system map, Felix saw Jessica had displayed a GPS route, guiding him to avoid dead ends and obstacles. He followed the suggested path, weaving through the streets.

The energy mass left a trail of carnage, kicking up dust and clouding the destruction in a brown haze. Civilians reacted to the chaos, fleeing in the opposite direction.

With fewer obstacles and pedestrians on the road, Felix calculated the energy ball\'s weakness and waited for the next sharp turn.

As he drove south, the southern wall came into view. Felix turned around to the right and saw the energy ball catching up, still outside the wall. He made another sharp left turn, speeding along the south wall, heading back toward the south gate where he had shot Sean Smith.

The energy ball\'s massive eye locked onto him, but its momentum carried it too far south, sending it further away from the city.

Seizing the moment, Felix headed straight for the south gate. His goal wasn\'t escape—it was to ensure the serial killer\'s permanent death. A minute later, the energy mass slowed and turned left, but it was still two miles away from Felix.

Felix glanced back, scoffing at the distant energy ball, and turned his attention to the road. Consulting the system map, he searched for Sean Smith\'s location. Jessica quickly responded.

<Sean Smith has entered the city and is traveling north. Distance: 2.5 miles.>

Felix licked his lips. "So, two or three minutes away?"

At maximum speed, Felix reached the south gate in two minutes. As he shifted gears, briefly indulging in his fantasy of being a tofu delivery driver, a strange sight caught his eye.

In the sky, Martin was levitating, his gaze fixed on someone below. Behind him, six magic circles rotated, and a hundred transparent, faceless horsemen emerged, their wisp-like polearms pointed menacingly at the figure on the street.

Felix shifted his gaze to Martin\'s opponent. The system map identified the figure, and, coincidentally, it was the person Felix wanted dead.

Confused, Felix asked, "Are they fighting each other? What should I do? Let them fight?"

<You don\'t have that luxury. The weird eyeball is still chasing you. Estimated time of arrival: 75 seconds.>

"Tsk!"

Realizing the urgency, Felix pressed on the pedal, accelerating toward the murderer. He pulled out his SCAR, which was loaded with mana-piercing rounds. Although he knew the gun might break from the strain, Felix took aim, gripping it with both hands while steering the ATV with his feet. The posture was awkward, but Felix didn\'t care. He fired.

*PA*

*PA*

*PA*

The recoil knocked him off balance, and Felix tumbled from the ATV, hitting the ground hard.

Sean Smith heard the rumble of the approaching vehicle and the gunshots behind him. Before he could react, two bullets tore through his chest and stomach, while a third struck his left thigh. The pain from his thigh felt like a lightning bolt, sending a numbing shock through his entire body. His chest and stomach felt as if they\'d been hit by a sledgehammer, propelling him forward.

Once again, Sean collapsed into a pool of his own blood, but he was still alive.

Seizing the moment, Martin commanded the heavenly soldiers to attack. The transparent spirit horsemen let out a warcry as their ghostly steeds charged toward the fallen serial killer.

Refusing to surrender, Sean quickly straightened his index finger and tapped on a floating system screen in front of him, smirking in confidence.

System skill activated!

Life Drain!

Target: Everybody within a one-mile radius.

A thousand transparent tentacles erupted from Sean\'s body, spreading out in every direction. As the faceless horsemen charged, the tentacles impaled them. Upon contact, the heavenly soldiers crumbled into dust, and their life energy flowed back to Sean through the tentacles. This was how Sean drained the lifespans of others.

But it didn\'t stop there. One tentacle shot toward Martin.

Martin flew backward, trying to evade, but the hundred tentacles moved like living creatures, quickly surrounding him. One tentacle aimed for his head.

Meanwhile, the ATV Felix had abandoned continued to roll forward, entering the attack\'s radius. One of the tentacles touched its barrier, causing a loud electric crackle before an explosion sent the vehicle flying southward toward the gate. The barrier was shattered, and the tentacle dissolved into nothingness.

The collision between Sean\'s earth-grade system skill and the heaven-grade system item of Felix\'s ATV unleashed a powerful shockwave, hitting both sides. The moment the tentacle vanished, a backlash surged through Sean\'s body, causing him to scream in agony as sharp pain coursed through him.

The impact disrupted Sean\'s skill, halting the tentacles in their tracks before they faded away. One of them, mere inches from Martin\'s face, dissolved into the air.

"AAAAAAHHHHH!!"

Sean screamed in torment. Though the pain from his wounds was bearable, the backlash from his failed system skill felt like every bone in his body had shattered. Despite the agony, the system kept his mind functioning, but his consciousness teetered on the edge of darkness. He couldn\'t take it anymore—he wanted to give up.

As his mind began to blank out, Sean forgot he still had healing potions in his inventory. He writhed in pain, wishing this was all just a nightmare. Coughing and squirming on the ground, he suddenly heard footsteps approaching from behind.

Behind him, Felix stomped forward with determined strides. He glanced at his gold SCAR, the barrel cracked from firing the previous mana rounds. Tossing the broken rifle into his inventory, he pulled out a disposable M1 Garand. Loading a full clip of regular bullets, Felix snapped the chamber shut and pointed the muzzle at the back of Sean\'s head. Without a word, he pulled the trigger.

*BANG*

One bullet wasn\'t enough for all the trouble Sean had caused. In a hurry, Felix emptied the chamber.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

*PING*

The sacred ping echoed as the empty clip ejected from the rifle.

Felix glanced at the system map. Sean\'s signature—a large purple dot—slowly shrank before disappearing entirely.

He finally died.

"It\'s over. Dammit."

Turning south, he saw the massive energy eyeball disintegrate into small particles, fading along with its fallen master.

Hoisting the rifle, Felix gave Sean\'s lifeless body a light kick, storing it in his inventory. As he turned to leave, a voice rang out.

"WAIT!" Martin bellowed, stopping Felix in his tracks.
