Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 202 - 201: Shared Hobbies_1

When the sound of the dart rang out, everyone’s body trembled in unison.

The actions of Irving Harris shocked countless people present.

Even Julius Reed was slightly taken aback for a moment.

Indeed, he was a ruthless man.

It wasn’t without reason that he could break out from the relentless joint assassination attempts by peers.

“The ruthless energy you displayed today could make me consider you too dangerous to keep alive,”

Julius Reed looked at Irving Harris’s pale face and said with a faint smile, “But I won’t kill you today. Go back, think of a foolproof plan, I will grant you a dignified death. Remember, you only have one chance; next time, you will surely die! ”

After finishing all this, he took out his phone and dialed a number: “Come back, and give my regards to their mother and son.”

Seeing Julius Reed make this move, Irving Harris finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“Then, there will be a long future for us!”

He clasped his fists, waved to the bodyguards behind him, and Jentzen immediately began pushing the wheelchair towards the exit.

The remaining hundred or so people were also very vigilant, watching Julius Reed closely, afraid he might suddenly strike.

“The money’s here!”

Just as Irving Harris’s men left, Miguel Abbott received the computer from the secretary, chuckled wryly, and handed it to Julius Reed.

The money was exact to the last penny, and had fully transferred.

Cesar Pendleton’s men also left one after another, running out carrying their boss like defeated dogs.

The once bustling first-floor restaurant of the Waterfront Pearl was now eerily silent.

Miguel Abbott and his men felt like they were dreaming, everything was so magical, so unreal.

But it had indeed happened-

“Mr. Reed, I will immediately arrange for the money to be transferred to your account!”

Miguel Abbott asked respectfully, “Could you provide me with your account details?”

He dared not, and did not intend to, keep this money for himself.

A businessman should not only look at the immediate profit. Compared to the future, what does this amount to?

“Am I lacking money?”

Julius Reed retorted, “I feel it’s still quite manageable.”

Money, to him, seemed really just a number.

Lately, Miguel Abbott had been busy, and even the money given to Davonte Cook earlier came from him, so Julius Reed had intended to give this money to Miguel Abbott all along.

He wanted to give it, but Miguel Abbott did not want to accept it.

“Mr. Reed, serving you has truly been an honor! I hope you will accept this money; otherwise, Mr. Abbott will feel awkward,”

Miguel Abbott was sincere and especially stubborn at that moment.

“All right! When you have time, you might want to pay attention to the Radcliffe Group , ”

With one sentence, Julius Reed enlighten Miguel Abbott.

He had researched before and knew that the current chairman of the Radcliffe Group was Julius Reed’s wife.

“Ah, my head!”

Miguel Abbott slapped his forehead, wondering how he had not thought of such a simple thing.

Just then, Truman Ridge’s phone call suddenly came in.

It was a simple and clear message, inquiring about Julius Reed’s progress with setting up the group.

Everything had already been prepared, but hearing that Julius Reed had been busy lately, he didn’t dare to disturb him.

The Willson Building was now ready, with all the group’s facilities and staff standing by, just waiting for Julius Reed’s approval.

With the connections and capabilities of the Ridge Family, pulling together such a commercial aircraft carrier was no difficult task.

After simply confirming a time, Julius Reed hung up the phone.

“I’m in a good mood today, made a small profit, why not go out and have some fun?”

He looked at Miguel Abbott and the others behind him, who looked somewhat exhausted.

Recently, Five-river Province has been engulfed in chaos, and no one can sleep peacefully.

In these turbulent times, a misstep can leave you trampled underfoot.

“All right! It’s on me!”

Just then, Ives Abbott popped up out of nowhere.

She seemed to have forgotten the beating she received from Julius Reed, especially after that incident at the pleasure park; she became even more obedient and admiring towards Julius Reed.

She probably didn’t dare to come out earlier because of the significant momentum below.

Now that things have settled, Ives Abbott dared to sneak out quietly.

“Mr. Abbott, one must make a clear distinction between life and work!

Although it’s a bit busy, don’t work yourself into a frenzy.” Julius Reed glanced at Ives Abbott and said to Miguel Abbott again.

“Okay!”

Even with all his courage, Miguel Abbott wouldn’t dare to refuse Julius Reed.

His mood was also quite suppressed; the drastic ups and downs of the day would have triggered a heart condition in anyone else. Going out to unwind seemed like a decent option.

“Allen, go prepare the car!”

He immediately made arrangements.

“Living every day in this life of glitz and glamour, don’t you ever want to change it up?

Julius Reed stopped Allen, who was ready to drive out, and asked aloud, “Is there any night market, a street full of snacks and food stalls?”

In reality, Julius Reed preferred mingling with the common folk rather than lavish hotels.

From ancient times to the present, from the agricultural era to the industrial era, he found the most interesting places weren’t the skyscrapers but what people considered backwards areas.

It’s been nearly four years since he last ate at a snack street.

The Radcliffe Family didn’t give him money, and being a son-in-law with amnesia for three years was quite suffocating.

Thinking of this, Julius Reed gave a wry smile and shook his head.

Fortunately, everything was on the right track now, and as his memory continued to recover, he could seek out the real reason for his amnesia.

“Mr. Reed, are you sure you want to go?”

Upon hearing this, Miguel Abbott was visibly taken aback.

For someone of Julius Reed’s age, he surely came from an extremely wealthy background, born with a silver spoon, and enjoyed all the riches and honors.

And he liked this sort of thing? “What? Does Boss Abbott think these places are no good?”

Julius Reed glanced at him.

“No! Don’t get me wrong, Mr. Reed! I just thought that with your status, you might not like such places. After all, they’re crowded, noisy, and unsanitary…” Miguel Abbott hurriedly explained.

“Boss Davenport, let me tell you, Dad loves those places the most! He used to take me to the Five-river Province night market every month to feast!” Ives chipped in cheerfully from the side.

“But none of my friends like it. Every time I take them, they just complain about this and that! Speaking of family background, are they better off than me? Pretending and posturing, it’s so annoying!” As she spoke, Ives’s face showed her displeasure.

“I didn’t expect Boss Abbott to enjoy this too?”

Julius Reed laughed, surprised that Miguel Abbott also liked going to such places.

He had assumed that a big boss like him, indulging in luxury and vice, wouldn’t even know where the night market was!

“Honestly, I grew up in the countryside, and despite constantly striving over the years, I have never forgotten where I came from,” said Miguel Abbott with a big laugh. ‘We are all ordinary people; we can’t forget our roots just because we have some money, right? To be honest, I think the food at those roadside stalls tastes great!”

“People around me don’t get it, claiming it’s unsanitary. Yet, over the years, several of my old buddies got sick and died, and it turned out I’m the healthiest! What people fear most is forgetting their origins!”

“So, shall we go?”

“Let’s go!”
