Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 268 - 267 Presidential Suite_1

Anna Harris had mentally prepared herself, but she was still stunned when she saw the scene before her.

Two words.

Luxurious.

The golden and dazzling room was very spacious, and even the carpet at the entrance was exceptionally valuable.

Although they were not particularly wealthy, they had seen a lot over the years, but such a luxurious room was beyond their wildest dreams.

The only thing that came close to this level of luxury was a room Joel Martin had reluctantly stayed in, but it still fell far short in comparison.

Luxury!

Extreme luxury!

“I’m sorry, but you must be mistaken,” Anna Harris said reluctantly, reluctantly taking her eyes off the room and turning to the greeter.

“What’s the standard of this room, and how much does it cost?” Joel Martin asked.

Since everyone liked it, he clenched his teeth—booking five rooms would also save face for himself, right?

“The highest standard Pearl Suite over the water, 288,800 per night,” the greeter answered with a smile.

“Ah!”

Joel Martin blinked and swallowed the words he had been about to say.

Over a million for five people—his family had money, but not to that extent. Such extravagance would have his father breaking his leg.

Upon hearing the price, Anna Harris quickly waved her hand, “You must have mistaken us for someone else! We’re not staying in this kind of room.”

What money could Julius Reed have? All his money was earned by Quella Radcliffe.

But Quella Radcliffe couldn’t possibly have saved over a million in just a few years, let alone have Julius Reed spend it all at once.

“Exactly! How could that poor guy afford to give us such a nice room to stay in!” Isandro Jackson said sourly on the side, but his eyes kept darting into the room.

He used to think a hotel was just a place to rest, as long as you could stay in it.

But this room in front of him was pure enjoyment!

“We haven’t made a mistake! Look, it says the room number right here!” the greeter explained with a smile.

Only then did Anna Harris notice that the room card in her hand was indeed for the room in front of her.

Now she was somewhat puzzled.

“If there’s no problem, then let’s move in!” Isandro Jackson glared and immediately took his room card and went inside.

But when he pushed the door open, he realized his room seemed a bit different…

This was just an ordinary hotel.

“Hey! What’s going on? Why are the two rooms different?” Isandro Jackson asked, furrowing his brows.

From his experience, such a hotel would probably cost just a few hundred a night.

But because it was the Pearl over the water, the hotel wasn’t too bad actually. It’s just that without a comparison, there’s no harm done.

But having seen the opulence of that previous room, this one seemed like nothing more than a dog’s kennel in comparison!

Hearing Isandro Jackson say this, the other three also went to their rooms with their respective room cards.

Indeed, just like Isandro Jackson’s.

Their rooms were all very ordinary, just the standard of a budget hotel.

“What’s the meaning of this?” Joel Martin also walked over and asked, his tone quite unpleasant.

“Sir, your room was always of this standard. Only Miss Anna Harris’s room is of our Presidential Suite standard,” the greeter explained with a smile, then turned to Anna Harris: “Mr. Reed instructed that if you have any needs, just tell us directly. As long as we can fulfil them, we will do our best to accommodate you.”

She finished speaking and pointed to the several service staff behind her: “These individuals are your personal service staff, on duty 24 hours a day outside your door. Whatever you need, they will take care of it for you.”

“Miss Anna Harris!”

Four waiters bowed in unison.

This scared Anna Harris quite badly: “No need! I’m not used to this, please send them away.”

By now, she had reluctantly accepted the reality.

Julius Reed really did spend a small fortune of thirty thousand to book a room for herself, while the others had ordinary rooms.

So that thirty thousand…

Thinking about her best friend’s economic situation made Anna Harris feel somewhat guilty.

“Perhaps this was Quella Radcliffe’s intention…”

Anna Harris pondered in her heart.

The two met in high school, attended the same university, and their friendship was very deep.

Maybe it was because they hadn’t seen each other for so many years that Quella Radcliffe had Julius Reed arrange such a luxurious hotel for her.

She didn’t believe that Julius Reed would be so bold as to spend so much money without permission.

Above all, she didn’t think Julius Reed would be willing to spend that money on her.

With resentment and unwillingness, the others stayed in a regular hotel, while Anna Harris took Heather Gonzalez to live in this luxurious presidential suite.

Anna Harris claimed she was afraid to stay alone, but actually, she just wanted to put Isandro Jackson in his place.

After all, such a big room could easily accommodate three girls without any issue.

After entering the room, Joel Martin violently punched the wall!

“Idiot! Where did you get so much money?”

The more he thought about it, the more suffocated he felt, having lost face in front of Anna Harris.

The moment he walked into the hotel, he clearly saw surprise on Anna Harris’s face!

Thinking of this, Joel Martin pulled out his phone and made a call.

“Hello! What’s up?”

Noises of a noisy bar came through the phone, clearly a nightclub with the continuous shrieking of women.

“Piran, I’ve run into some trouble here. Can you help me handle it?”

Joel Martin spoke gravely.

“Calvin, who’s giving you a hard time? Your uncle is the chairman of Golden Eagle Group. Who’s the blind fool who offended you?”

Laughter came through the phone; the person on the other end obviously wasn’t taking it seriously.

“Some hick from out of town. He shoved me twice and did it in front of the girl I like.”

Joel Martin’s face grew darker and darker.

“Where are you?”

“Pearl on the Water.”

“Isn’t that Boss Abbott’s turf? This is a bit of a headache, your uncle has been in a delicate situation with Boss Abbott lately.”

The noise on the other end of the phone grew quieter, clearly the person taking the call had stepped out of the bar.

“Piran! This guy has gone too far. I want to teach him a lesson in front of the girl I like!”

Joel Martin couldn’t swallow his pride.

He had intended to shame Julius Reed, but instead, he had been humiliated.

“Alright! If he’s daring to show off to you, I need to teach him a lesson! Pearl on the Water, you said? I’ve got brothers there. I’ll tell them to turn a blind eye for a bit.”

Then, a shout came through the phone: “Mr. Donkey, take the boys over there. Boss Potter’s nephew has been bullied. Make it look good!”

After speaking, he laughed into the phone: “Calvin, I sent Mr. Donkey with some guys over. Don’t worry!”

“Thanks, Piran!”

Joel Martin hung up the phone with a cold smile creeping onto his face.

“Julius Reed, think you can show off to me? Just wait until you make a complete fool of yourself!”

Every time he remembered the humiliation he’d received, it filled him with rage.

“Calvin, dinner’s ready!”

Just then, Isandro Jackson knocked from outside: “Miss Anna Harris’s friend’s husband is treating everyone to dinner, in the lobby on the first floor!”

“Coming!”

Joel Martin straightened his clothes and walked out beaming with smiles.
