Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 318: 318: Another bottle_1

When Sergei Harris saw this group of people, his face turned pale.

He hurriedly walked to the front desk, took out a stack of hundred-yuan bills, and approached with a smiling explanation.

At the same time, he stuffed the money into the gang leader’s pocket.

“Get lost!”

Whoosh!

The leader of the gang kicked Sergei Harris in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground, hissing in pain.

“I already warned you yesterday. If you don’t get lost today, the guys are going to get serious!”

Gang leader Parveen Carmichael rolled up his sleeves, pointed at Sergei Harris on the ground, and sneered, “You of all people had to offend Master Isolde! Sergei, you’ve ruined your own good business!”

“Guys, smash it up!”

With a wave of Parveen Carmichael’s hand, his employees immediately swarmed forward, ready to smash the place with wooden sticks in their hands.

“What are you doing!”

Seeing this, Anna Harris hobbled over and stood in front of the gang, “Is there no law in your eyes! In broad daylight, openly beating and smashing, do you believe I’ll call the police!”

She glared at the gang in front of her, anger burning inside her.

“Anna, get out of the way!”

Sergei Harris struggled to get up from the ground and ran over, kneeling in front of Parveen Carmichael: “Mr. Carmichael, my little sister doesn’t know the rules. Please forgive her ignorance and don’t stoop to her level.”

His tone was almost pleading.

It was only then that Anna Harris realized why her brother’s hotpot restaurant had gone from bustling to deserted in just one day.

“Brother! Stand up! These thugs don’t respect the law at all, let’s call the police!”

Anna Harris took out her cellphone, ready to call the police.

“Give it here!”

One of the quicker thugs snatched Anna Harris’s phone away and smashed it on the ground.

“Heh! Sergei, your sister is really something!”

Parveen Carmichael crossed his arms and sneered, slowly walking towards Anna Harris, “Little girl, I am the law!”

Whoosh!

With a kick, he sent Sergei Harris rolling on the ground, looking at Anna Harris, “See that? I don’t just smash places, I beat people too!”

“Yo! Mr. Carmichael is mighty!”

“You don’t even know who our Mr. Carmichael is!”

“This chick’s not bad looking!”

The employees behind him started jeering.

“Mr. Carmichael, my sister is young and ignorant. She offended you. Please don’t mind her!”

Sergei Harris bore the pain as he picked himself up from the ground and pushed Anna Harris towards the exit of the store, “Get lost! I don’t want a sister like you! All you do is come back for money every year, and when you’re not bringing your freeloading friends for food and drinks, you’re nothing but trouble. Just go!”

After speaking, he turned and gave a look to Julius Reed and Quella Radcliffe.

At this point, he didn’t want to drag others down with him.

“Hold on!”

Parveen Carmichael put out his hand to stop Anna Harris, “Sergei, such a touching brother-sister act! Now that everyone’s here, let’s not be hasty! Little girl wanted to see the law, right? Today I’ll let her see what it is! Guys, break one of Sergei’s legs for me!”

“Yes!”

The thugs picked up their wooden sticks and walked towards Sergei Harris with evil grins on their faces.

“Let go of my brother!”

Anna Harris limped forward but was pushed to the ground by a thug.

“Sister!”

Sergei Harris’s eyes reddened as he suddenly grabbed a chair and slammed it against one of the thug’s head, but then three more thugs rushed over and started to punch and kick Sergei Harris.

“Brother!”

Anna Harris cried out.

But those people had no intention of stopping.

“Enough already! Aren’t you just bullying an honest man?”

Just when the thugs were about to intensify their beating, Julius Reed sauntered over.

“I advise you to mind your own business! Get lost right now, or you might not make it out today if I change my mind!”

Parveen Carmichael frowned in annoyance, waving them off impatiently.

His superiors had ordered him to take care of Sergei Harris, and beyond that, they didn’t want to cause any unnecessary trouble.

“Oh! You’re actually right about that!”

Julius Reed casually dragged over a chair, sat down, and crossed his legs. “You see, I have this habit of meddling in other people’s business. Ever since I was little, I had to get involved whenever I saw something unfair. Otherwise, it just doesn’t sit right with me!”

He looked over his body, then sighed again. “It’s so uncomfortable all over!”

“Anna, come here!”

Seizing the moment while the thugs paused, Quella Radcliffe quickly helped Anna Harris to her feet.

“Kid, do you know who I am?”

Parveen Carmichael rubbed his head, speaking with some irritation, “In this industry, you’re the first one who dares to speak to me like that! Right, guys?”

“Sick of living? Daring to talk to Mr. Carmichael like that!”

“Kneel and apologize! Or I’ll break your legs!”

“Where did this dumb kid come from!”

The thugs roared with laughter, as if they had heard the funniest joke.

“Julius, you take Anna and the others and go. This has nothing to do with you, don’t go against them!”

Sergei Harris was bruised and swollen on the ground but still kindly reminded him.

“You want me to leave? Alright, they just need to kneel and apologize, and then each breaks one of their own hands, and I’ll agree!”

Julius Reed picked up a bottle of soda from the table and took a sip.

“Not bad!”

He continued drinking, as if no one else was there.

“Hey! This kid’s pretty arrogant! Go on, teach him a lesson!”

With a wave of his hand, Parveen Carmichael signaled two employees to step forward.

“Hold on!”

Julius Reed suddenly raised his hand to signal them to stop.

“What now?”

Parveen Carmichael didn’t understand, what was this kid’s game?

“Wait till I finish my soda!”

Julius Reed drained the soda bottle in one gulp, then violently hurled the empty bottle!

Whoosh!

The employee at the forefront was smashed hard and flew backwards, lying on the ground motionless.

Blood continuously flowed from his head.

“Hiss!”

The thugs inhaled sharply, witnessing a lethal blow right from the start.

Usually, their fights and scuffles were relatively minor.

But this was something else, a direct intent to kill!

Sergei Harris was also shocked by Julius Reed. He had never expected the notorious loser from Gonzalez City to be an adept fighter!

“Kid, what’s your name!”

Parveen Carmichael swallowed hard, instinctively stepping back, “Don’t think you can oppose me just because you have some moves! Let me tell you straight, with one phone call, I could have hundreds of brothers surrounding this place!”

“Is that so? That scares me to death!”

Julius Reed held out his hand with a bottle cap in it, “Boss, I want to claim my prize!”

“Huh?”

Bearing the pain, Sergei Harris crawled over to Julius Reed and gently picked up the bottle cap.

It had four words written on it.

Get one more bottle.

“Deal!”

It was strange, but Sergei Harris felt fearless at that moment.

He picked up another soda bottle, opened it, and handed it to Julius Reed.

Julius Reed gently shook the bottle and took out his phone to send a text message.

“I’m at Harris’s King Prawn.”
