Destined with You

Chapter 492: 497 Don't you think it's exciting enough? 5

After taking the medicine, seeing that Beiming Han was all right, Gu Qingxin tidied up the things and said, “You rest up. I’ll head down first.”

Gu Qingxin spoke these words with her head down, not even waiting for his response, before turning around to leave.

She could not possibly be unaffected by what happened yesterday. Thinking about how he treated her, her chest felt heavy with pain…

Watching her leave, Beiming Han furrowed his brows and clenched his fists tightly…

Once the bedroom door was closed, Beiming Han slumped onto the couch…

This past week, he’d been away for three days on a business trip, every day waiting for her call, even a text message would do. It would give him an excuse that she did care about him…

But after waiting for three long days, he got nothing…

Back home, he still waited every day for her message, but still, no response came…

Gu Qingxin stood outside the door, her hands tightly gripping the gilded doorknob. It took her quite a while before she finally released her grip.

Gu Qingxin was busily tweaking a piece of artwork she was preparing for a competition. Doing this was the only way she could calm herself down.

A knock sounded at the door, and Aunt Zhou came in, saying, “Miss, Young Master says he’d like some handmade noodles that you make. Please, would you make some?”

“All right, I’ll make them right away.” Gu Qingxin put down her drawing board and got up to head to the kitchen.

Fearing Beiming Han might get impatient, Gu Qingxin sped up her pace. However, during the noodle-cutting process, she accidentally cut her hand again.

Seeing the blood well up from her finger, which was a lot worse than the previous cut, she quickly threw down the knife and turned on the tap to rinse her wound.

Aunt Zhou heard a noise and came in, asking, “What happened?”

“I accidentally cut my hand.” Gu Qingxin replied with tears welled up in her eyes, the pain was just too intense.

“I’ll get a bandage.” Aunt Zhou immediately left the kitchen and quickly returned with one.

After applying the bandage, Aunt Zhou asked, “Are you okay? The wound looks quite deep.”

“It should be fine once the bleeding stops. Aunt Zhou, could you please start the heat for me?” Gu Qingxin wiped her hand and then continued to cut the remaining dough.

Once the noodles were ready, she asked Aunt Zhou to take them upstairs.

“Miss, I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to serve it.”

Young Master said he wanted noodles, it was clear he wanted to see Miss Gu.

“Aunt Zhou, please take it upstairs for me. I’m returning to my room.” Gu Qingxin said, not waiting for her to refuse, and quickly left the kitchen.

Aunt Zhou, “…”

When Aunt Zhou delivered the noodles, as expected, Beiming Han’s face immediately turned sour. She stiffly placed the bowl down, saying, “Young Master…”

“Out!”

Beiming Han knew she didn’t want to see him. If he hadn’t been so ill today, she probably would’ve ignored him entirely.

“Young Master, you mustn’t misunderstand. It’s not that Miss Gu doesn’t want to come up, she’s cut her hand.” Aunt Zhou quickly added.

Beiming Han’s eyebrows instantly furrowed, and he asked, “Is it serious?”

“Possibly because she was rushing when cutting the noodles. But the bleeding has stopped, so there shouldn’t be any major issues.”

“You can go.” Beiming Han waved his hand, pulled up a chair to the table, and ate the entire bowl of noodles without leaving a single drop.

When Beiming Han came downstairs, Aunt Zhou was on the phone. After hanging up, she called out, “Young Master.”
