The Number One Star in the Interstellar Era [BL]

Chapter 632: THE PRINCE'S LEVEL

The book was filled with recipes from a country in the East on ancient Earth.

Emmy didn\'t question it. Astrid had always been a curious child, constantly using his Terminal to explore all kinds of books, from history to general knowledge. It wasn\'t surprising that he stumbled upon a cookbook like that. Besides, there was no reason for him to lie about something so trivial. So why question it?

Especially when their family had enjoyed so many new and delicious dishes because of it.

"Emmy, I just got a message from Aster—they\'ve already entered the planet," Gage said as he walked into the kitchen to update his wife.

"Hmm, perfect timing. I\'m almost finished here," Emmy replied.

Gage took a seat on one of the bar stools, watching his wife as she worked. After a moment, he couldn\'t help but ask, "Emmy, how are you feeling?"

Emmy paused and glanced over at her husband. Seeing the concern etched on his face, a warm smile instantly crossed her lips. Because she knew exactly why Gage was asking that question.

He was likely worried about the fact that, after more than two decades, she was finally going to meet her father and brothers. Truthfully, she wasn\'t entirely sure how she felt about it. Part of her was excited—after all, it had been over twenty years. But another part of her was reluctant, especially when it came to facing her father and older brother.

She was still unsure whether she had it in her to forgive them. What happened back then was simply not something she could brush off just because so many years had passed. Because no matter how much she thought about it, she couldn\'t understand why her father had to resort to such a tactic just so he could get rid of that psychopath - Cecil Lancaster.

Wasn\'t there a better way to do that without using her as bait? Was she so lacking in value that he could easily cast her aside? And to think Thomas even agreed to it. Sometimes, when she was in her lowest mood, she would ask herself, was she not their family at all?

But the irony in all of it was that, in the end, it was she and Gage who killed that psychopath, not whatever plan her father had devised.

Emmy shook her head. She should not think about that right now and ruin the rest of her day. Since she would be meeting them later anyway, she could just ask. Maybe they would have the decency to give her an answer.

She smiled at her husband. "I\'m fine, and I will be fine. How can I not when you\'re here with me? Not to mention that our children will also be here later. So, I will definitely be more than fine."

Gage\'s eyes softened with emotion. "I really want to kiss you right now."

Emmy laughed, shaking her head. "Later. I\'m in the middle of cooking, and I\'d hate to accidentally cut you with a knife."

As the spaceship entered Delryria\'s atmosphere, it made a direct descent toward a clearing near Astreas Farm—the Townsend family\'s land. The landing was swift, thanks to Wulfric\'s meticulous planning, which ensured their approach was perfectly aligned with the farm\'s location. The ship was also cloaked in advanced stealth technology, making their descent invisible to prying eyes.

Once the spaceship landed, they split into two groups, each boarding a flying car. Moments later, two sleek flying cars emerged from the ship, ready to make their way to the farm.

One group consisted of Astrid, Wulfric, Casey, Nicol, and Slade, while the other included Reas, Thomas, Anthony, Hildred, and Edmund. Reas had wanted to ride with Astrid, but Astrid insisted he join Thomas and the duke, reasoning that Reas could answer any questions they might have about the farm and stuff. Left with little choice, Reas reluctantly agreed.

With that, they made their way to the Townsend home.

Nicol looked out of the car window, his eyes shining as he stared at the scenery outside. "Brother Aster, are the lands outside part of your farm?"

Astrid chuckled at the question. "No, we\'ll actually pass by our house first before we get a glimpse of the farm."

"Can we tour later?"

Astrid ruffled Nicol\'s hair. "Of course."

Wulfric, sitting beside him, cleared his throat. "I would also like a tour."

Nicol looked over Wulfric\'s side and glared at him. "Why are you copying me?"

Wulfric shot back with a glare. "Who\'s copying who? Don\'t you think you\'re being a bit too sensitive?"

Sitting between the two, Astrid calmly placed his hands between them and said with a hint of amusement, "Now, now, let\'s not fight."

The two shot each other one final glare before turning away with a quiet "hmph."

Casey, sitting in the passenger seat, had initially wanted a tour as well. But after watching the prince bicker with his eight-year-old nephew, he quickly changed his mind. The thought of saying the same thing made him feel like he\'d be stooping to the prince\'s level, and his pride just wouldn\'t allow that.
