"Oh ho, I don't know this guy." Kevin Woo shook his head as if he was utterly disappointed by Ethan's statement.

"Do I have a problem with my head as it kept being reminded of someone saying; opposite genders cannot be friends as it will always lead to bed?" Chris Yu pointed his temple as he altered his gaze towards Kevin Woo and Elliot Gong.

"He is surely digging his own grave, tsk tsk." Elliot Gong looked at Ethan Lu with pity as if he could foresee his friend's future dilemma.

Hearing their unnecessary comments that don't actually contribute to his current mood, Ethan Lu frowned as he threw his billiard stick on the side. He strode towards the expensive-looking couch and downed a glass full of fine wine.

Since Ethan Lu's revelation gaining a new friend which is also a woman, the three of them lost interest in the game and took their respective spots around the small table.

"We should tell brother Mo about it, though I'm certain that he won't even budge." Kevin Woo broke the stifling atmosphere that enveloped the whole lounge area as Ethan Lu produced a rare aura of dissatisfaction.

"You'd get block again if you do." Chris Yu spat out in a matter of factly tone.

"So, tell us who is she?" Unlike the two, Elliot Gong has more inclination to know more who was the woman that made this stubborn playboy suddenly have a change of heart?

Every one of them knew Ethan Lu and his well, strong beliefs. He had always this kind of mentality that opposite genders could never become real friends. Well, if it has benefits, he'll probably reconsider. But, a pure friendship? That would be as impossible as to resurrect a dead person.

"You're all overreacting. I didn't react like this when you guys got 'girl' friends." Ethan Lu scowled as he scanned at their anticipating gazes.

His statement made the three almost puke blood by his shamelessness. Did he just say he didn't react like them? Yeah, because he actually jinxed it!

"Aya, I never realized this in denial stage is much more critical than I thought." Chris Yu looked at Ethan as if he was beyond savable. He chose to ignore his latter statement and pretended that he didn't hear it just so he could prevent having a heart attack at a young age.

"This… I am speechless. Please take him home." Kevin Woo face palmed as he let out his heaviest sigh. It was evident to him that he had lost the energy to probe further, afraid that he might hear another shameless goody two shoe remarks from Ethan Lu that might cause his blood pressure to rise.

"As I said, you have dug your own grave because being a friend means a much harder task to be seen as a man. Good luck with that man." Elliot Gong raised his glass of wine as if making a toast before gulping it down like a man.

"Though I'm still curious who's HER friend." Chris Yu mumbled in a low tone but didn't pry further. Surely, they easily gave up on instigating Ethan Lu's new love venture as they will know about it in the future days anyway.

"Damn, I'm outta here." Ethan grabbed the whole bottle of wine and without wasting a second, he left his friends in the spacious lounge area.

He was utterly disappointed as he initially came there to forget what's bugging him! Not to remind and be put on the hot seat asking tons of questions about Lexi.

As he passed by the still bustling dancefloor, Ethan didn't even glance at it nor did he looked around to find a woman to hit on. He doesn't understand it himself but somehow, it just doesn't interest him at the moment. Rather, it only bored him as it has been doing these activities for years now.

"That's all, chu?" Churu frowned. She was quite disappointed hearing the content of Ethan Lu's messaged earlier. She already has a few sentences in mind that could actually boost more points for Ethan Lu this time.

"Yeah, that's all," Lexi repeated as she closed her eyes to rest.

Just then, her phone rang which slightly irked her. Who would call her at this time of hour? If she was probably still active in the entertainment industry, Lexi would have guessed that it was probably her assistant. But after all the scandals, all her resources, her team was all abolished and was assigned to different artists.

Reaching for her phone on the bedside table, her brows creased seeing the caller ID of Morris Liu. Churu seeing Lexi's familiar expression whenever she encounters that man, she flew towards to see that her guess was right.

"Don't answer chu! Let him wait till tomorrow, chu!" Churu protested alas, her demands were rendered shun as Lexi tapped the green button and directly put it on her phone.

"Meet me at my office."

Even before Lexi could speak, Morris Liu's icy, emotionless voice came through and hung up after he said his piece.

"I can't believe you just said you'll move on and the next second that 'unworthy name that I cannot even speak' called, you'll answer without a second hesitation, chu!" Churu grumbled as she was clearly fuming mad at Lexi's action. Alas, Lexi replied with a sigh of conceding.

"He's asking me to meet him at his office. *sigh* I gotta go."

"No, no chu! Take a step outside this mansion -- no, this room and we're friends over chu!" Churu flew in front of Lexi and opened her arms and tiny feet apart as if to block Lexi's way which was impossible.

"Sissy, whatever is going on with that wild imagination of yours, is not what you think I'm gonna do. This, this slavery? I'll put an end to it soon. I should go and make these things clear with Morris!"

Churu was quite stunned seeing the burning angst beneath Lexi's eyes. This is the first time she had seen Lexi this mad but determined. Witnessing Lexi like this, Churu slowly put down her arms as she flew on the side.

'No wonder that Mia Chen was so afraid of her.' She thought inwardly as she watched Lexi walked through her walk-in closet.
